@johnmitchell , those were great! I will foil them individually next time - I can imagine the flavor would be that much more rich. Mrs. Dyal and I had one straight out of the pan, which was good…But then the others that sat in the liquid were even better - cut those in half so they could soak up more flavor. Keep going back for bites.Thx again!

Yesterday I gave a first try to tomahawk. 1 hour at 250 F raised indirect and final direct sear on raging flames.
Came out reasonably well, my dog is still enjoying!

Friday evening with a long weekend ahead, as monday is a national festivity here in Italy (we commemorate the birth of the Italian Repubblic on June 2 1946 when we chose to repeal Monarchy with a referendum).
I just made bread (in a regular hoven) and spatchcocked a beast of a chicken (more than 3 kg) for tomorrow's lunch.
