I would expect nothing less given how you and your wife carry yourselves at least thru here and I am quite confident that is the norm.  Great eats.
Safe travels to the mainland and suffer thru your relegation here for the next couple of months.
So THAT is what relegation means.  Thanks for using it in a sentence like that.

@Ozzie_Isaac, curious as to why you guys went with cement tile and grout instead of solid surface like granite, quartzite or even concrete countertops. BTW, your setup is killer. Even your Roman Bath!

Granite and Quartz were really expensive.  There are about 150 sq.ft of counter.  The length of the counters would also have had a couple of seams.  Plus, I like the look of tile.  It is also very tough stuff, so aside from grout being stained I do not have to worry about it.  Pretty much zero maintenance.

I almost went concrete counters, but their recommended concrete guy was months out.

If you ever come to St. Croix and we are here, we would love to meet up with you. Lets be clear, if my wife likes you - anything is possible. If I like you (or not) - it just doesn't matter so much. We do love it down here. Blessed for the most part.

Is that like a Doritos-type shell? I'd hit that.

Thanks so much. In the "old days" getting good quality groceries was a bit challenging (and still can be on occasion). We have had our vacation home here since 2013, and now typically have everything we need. We do have an abundance of refrigeration and freezer space. This can be necessary to bridge the times when "the ship doesn't come in". Most beef down here is choice (and select), but prime can be obtained once you learn the system. But everything is shipped in weekly, so you get what you get and planning ahead is key.
We are fortunate in that we travel to our home in Florida about once a month or so. We freeze an ice chest full of goodies every return trip -  checked luggage. This, plus local grocery stores and lots of freezer space - we want for very little, and it works for us. Lots of really nice local produce/fruit/etc. and I catch more fish that we can eat.
Regarding crepes and mango - my wife grew up at her mother's side on the family farm in Normandy. Hard to describe her ability to prepare some rather exquisite... Plus mango may be her favorite food group!
Although it's a bit late to make a long story short, on the surface easily acquiring good quality groceries including beef in the USVI can be less than optimal.  A little motivation and planning goes a long way. However we are not in Kansas. While spending time down here continues to be great - challenges do abound. No matter where we are, my wife and I focus on what we have - not what we don't. We are blessed, but...

Yep, exactly.  Next time I’ll definitely have some queso made up as well, gotta go full trashy.
