Out of the blue, one of the Beags decided to snack on a remote.  Confident we know which one and baffled as to why.  Best I could find was $18. for a remote or $23. for the whole kit w/batteries.  Got the kit.

Griddle cover and some of those side shields came in today.
    That's a good looking griddle.  ;)

Does Lux not own Maui too? Only started buying Goodr. 10 pairs for what a pair of Costa or Maui’s cost

I did not think so but I could be wrong. I was in a sunglasses shop 2 years ago and told them I was disappointed that lux bought costa and the guy showed me Maui Jim.  If they aren’t I’m sure it’s only a matter of time.

I probably have seven or so pairs of Oakleys accumulated throughout the years - none in white. I’ve had more than a few pairs have the polycarbonate lens coating peel off randomly, absent any friction or any deficiency in handling the lenses. When I contacted Oakley about it, they told me tough luck (in alternative wording, of course). I won’t be buying another pair.

Btw, if anyone has had this issue with their Oakleys, the cheap and less-than-perfect fix is to wrap the lenses in packing tape and then pull it off, taking much of the chipping coating with it.

Smith makes great lenses, but they're now owned by the second largest Italian eyewear conglomerate.

I used to like Native, but Lux owns them now too.

Zeal is a small, privately owned manufacturer that I like, I don't have any of their sunglasses yet, but I use their ski goggles with a transition lens and I love them, nicer have to change out lenses regardless of light conditions.

When I had that happen with costa, pre lux, they sent me a new pair no charge.

Marked down 200 bucks. I think it was marked down because the next gen 1500 dollar system was on the shelf. I am hoping for good coverage and speed on all 3 floors of the new house and kids not complaining about lag on their gaming. I have a 1GB Internet connection, which should be plenty. When the kids are allowed "tech time" I'll have 7 kids all streaming or doing something. Some will have a laptop running Township (like sim city) while they watch you tube while playing Fortnite on a Nintendo switch all while Amazon prime video is streaming on the TV.

That’s enough bandwidth to watch 40 4K video streams simultaneously.  I think you will be fine depending on your upload bandwidth (if it is asymmetric with lower upload speed) and how many kids are uploading video (like video conferencing).

Upload bandwidth is 25 Mbps  I don't think we will have issues.  No video conferencing.  For school it is pre-recorded lectures/teaching sessions. Xfinity offers 2Gig down/unsure of up.  AT&T fiber is ran into the house as well.  I checked their plans and I can get 1 Gig asymmetric for $80/month (same as current Xfinity price).  If upload becomes an issue, I may give it a try.  Not fixing what ain't broke.  I own my modem too.  So far we are several hours in with no issues.  Will stress test in the coming week.

Sorry, the ATT fiber is symmetric.

I have 2 pairs of Oakley both with the golf Spectrum lenses.   I use them sparingly so they have been ok but prior pairs not so much.

I still roll a couple pairs of Costas (pretty much for fishing) but had no idea they had been acquired so likely won’t get another pair.

Smith are good for sporting endeavors.   I have a pair of Native which used to be good.

My favorite of all though are Randolph Engineering.   Daily drivers.

I’ve been sick with Covid since Wednesday and I’ve been watching griddle videos since Friday, but don’t have one.  I just bought this on Walmart.com.

Congrats on the purchase and wishing you better days ahead!

Rec'd the Eastman Ourdoors Portable Kahuna Burner today!
Looking forward to my first wok cook on it. Firing up the egg seemed like a waste of charcoal for hot and fast stir fry's. Hoping this will be faster and more economical!

Good move if you stir fry frequently. Or need to fire up a pan or pot outside because the smoke/mess is untenable inside.

@billt01 - Downside of the FireTV Android app is it lacks power (one press turns on/off both TV and AVR) and volume controls.  Additionally the phone has to be on the same WiFi network as the FireStick.  My phone lives on a trusted WiFi segment while the FireStick and all other IoT spyware devices are on a untrusted segment.  But yes, the phone app got me by until the new remote arrived.

Starting to investigate replacing my 6 year old iMac. The last couple of IOS updates have completely bogged down the boot up speed.
