If it doesn't have a deep pocket clip, you need it changed out. Bench made makes two styles which means your buying a new clip some times
sorry, it’s not the actual pocket clip (which is deep carry) it’s the back lash portion used to tether, etc.
My benchmade is black carbon fiber handles with red thumb studs and spacers,  I like the red
Is that an Osborne?  Mine has black carbon scales and S90V steel.  But the accents are blue.

That is a Bailout, handle like a Bugout but with a Tanto blade.  My favorite blade profile with one of my favorite handle shapes.  Now I kind of want one.
If you like the Bugout but want something a touch bigger I say go for it.   There are several pluses for me:   Larger handle (I’m a taller guy 6’4” so it fits my hands better), a tad more weight (not much but it is less likely to be forgotten in the laundry) and finally-to your point (pun intended) the Tanto is a great multi-use blade.

  • Speaking of funny, I recently picked up a used bourbon barrel - going to make a pub table out of it. Anyways, needed a plug for the hole and google informed me the hole in the barrel is called a bunghole. Then went and bought a bunghole plug. Still laughing.

Yep- that term has been around for a few centuries...

I work in a Dutch community, so dike has a different meaning.  I once asked a guy with the last name of Webenga for the dykes, and he looked at me strangely.  They build windmills behind the dike here.

ETA yesterday, 3 boxes from 1st order. Only one box (80lb) came today, pleasantly surprised to see two guys carrying it carefully, vs the three-letter company guy dragging a much bulkier and heavier box up my driveway solo last year. The box was ripped due to poor packing but the two bags of pellets inside look pristine and smell amazing even without opening.

@poster I suppose no news from you is good news.

Tracking number shows delivery today...shipped from Kitchener.
Didn't yours come from way out west?
First order shipped from Hamilton, the remaining two boxes just showed up after I called in to initiate a trace.

It's my second order that's coming from Saskatoon, ETA Thursday.

Edit: Turned out the two boxes I just received is the Saskatoon order. 2/3 of first order still missing.
1 of 4 just showed up all wrapped up in plastic. I do not understand any of the logic behind the shipping, but its free, so can't complain.
After over a week's delay the four missing bags just showed up in new boxes, updated tracking description says "Shipment may be delayed due to packaging issue". Did you get the rest of your order?

edit: all bags appear to be in good condition

Yup, the final 3 showed up a day later as individual packages.

A buddy of mine tried to order twice, both orders were cancelled on him

I have a portable around 55 quarts and love it.

I ordered one of those above because, why not?   It'll be worth it's weight in gold after the apocalypse.

If the temperature is below -20deg C, what does it do?  It can only keep foods cold down to -20C.

Ahh...they're all singing praise to their "Outsunny 48-quart 12V Car Refrigerator with Pull-up Handle". Song's got a snappy beat - I could dance to it.
This is the type of marketing shot that really sells things.

It doesn't say "Friends NOT included" so I'm gonna buy one...I'd like to have some friends. Score!

I need to start a "What AREN'T you buying right now?" thread.  Dang, I am spending money like a drunken sailor (no offense, @lousubcap).

I have gone down the rabbit hole and gotten caught up in the vortex for many things I never knew I needed til I got here.  I understand.
In my youth I may have lived the above, but with the exception of this place like to think I am beyond that now.  But...there's always tomorrow 🥃🍺⚓️

Bummer, may be it was end of shift and the shipping folks were worn out, lol.

Saw this at Costco today, not as cheap as PA's but looks solid compared to $23/20lb Traeger.

  • Need a recommendation on measuring cups/spoons. SWMBO says preferably somethings stainless and engraved so it can be dish washed for eternity.

Amazon has about 10 different varieties of cups/spoons/sets.  You gotta decide on the shape you like (round, deep, rectangular, etc.) and how much you want to spend.

If you want them for eternity, you might have to spend a little more, but every price point is there.

I have tried a few different shapes.  Can never have too many, I guess.

I have the All-Clad ones.  They are very nice, heavy duty too.  Could probably cook in them.
