I am thinking he is going to make some outrageous shakes and the cooler was on triple discount.
I’m guessing he acquired that Ninja for like $99, refurbished.
Or he traded a swamp black gum knurl that he found in the back of a retired traveling veneer artists menagerie shipping container for it.

I know there are a lot of awesome wing rubs displayed on the forum. Last night I gave this a whirl, it was really pretty good. A good backup to keep in the pantry.

@MasterC - with that green stable you have she will sort it out.  But I also believe you will get your last hall pass on this rig.  Quite versatile.  (I'm done will Q toy rabbit holes-nice try!)

Cap, I've been on the sideline long enough. Can't do everything I use to but can still cook. Getting it mounted on the wagon chassis so I can tow it with my golf cart up at the lakes. Maybe cater on Saturday when they all hobble in from the sandbar inebriated and hungry.

Out of the blue, one of the Beags decided to snack on a remote.  Confident we know which one and baffled as to why.  Best I could find was $18. for a remote or $23. for the whole kit w/batteries.  Got the kit.

the phone can control your Apple and Fire TV's

@billt01 - Downside of the FireTV Android app is it lacks power (one press turns on/off both TV and AVR) and volume controls.  Additionally the phone has to be on the same WiFi network as the FireStick.  My phone lives on a trusted WiFi segment while the FireStick and all other IoT spyware devices are on a untrusted segment.  But yes, the phone app got me by until the new remote arrived.

@billt01 - Perhaps my reason for wanting a new remote was unclear to you.  The data comms were not an issue.  The App., at least on Android, lacks power and audio control functionality.

Starting to investigate replacing my 6 year old iMac. The last couple of IOS updates have completely bogged down the boot up speed.
Mine went that way a few years ago. Bought a MacBook and now use the iMac as a screen.

Deep pit with adjustable charcoal tray, heavy-duty drip tray and 820 sq. in. grate that can hold 100lb. hog and a double grate flipping setup

Weather's going to be crappy here so first burn will have to wait a couple days.

The Creami is a fantastic machine.  One note, ice cream recipes need to be egg/custard based.  The egg-free recipes from the manual using cream cheese never turned out right - the texture was gritty/grainy. And depending on your freezer temp, I found best results letting the container sit on the counter for 15 minutes before spinning.

Beware of respins... you can literally turn the heavy cream base into small bits of hard waxy butter.

@nolaegghead, looks to me like you fell down a new rabbit hole.. where did you find that and what’s the thoughts on the truffles, or was that a simple impulse.
Total impulse on the truffles.  The goal was to pick up everything I need for plenty of gelato, ice cream and sorbet.

John "guessed" correctly (because he read it on an sms thread) ;) .

Good info, thanks.  I watched a video about a guy disassembling this machine and talking about how it's incredibly mechanically complicated and unbelievable it's so cheap.

The original version of this has been around for years and is insanely expensive....only high end restaurants really used them.

Been having my eye on them for the past year.  This deal came up and for 99 bucks I couldn't resist.  Plus I've been trying to actually gain weight.

A great book of recipes is David Lebovitz's The Perfect Scoop.  Most of the recipes can be made as-is for the Creami.

His coffee ice cream (gellato?) recipe is amazing.

One big time/hassle saving note - Most old school recipes have you temper your base so you don't curdle the eggs. You can skip that step completely and just whisk your eggs directly into the cold dairy and bring the whole thing up to pasteurization temp.

I would be good with a chocolate ceyanne gelato container and a very berry, but it looks like you are going to need an ice cream serving chest
