Has a temp sensor built into the unit to measure the skillet temp and a plug in one for either the food or the cooking liquid and can maintain temps accurate to 1.8 degrees. I've been trying to come up with specific use cases outside of frying and hollandaise both of which should be way easier.

We have decided to get solar too. ground mount since we don't have that much southerly facing roofline. 48 panels will cover 112% of our usage. Our county has some of the better (and now I'm drawing a blank!) banking of electricity...ugh what is that called?! hah
Should be getting it installed in a couple of weeks. Can't wait -
I would not bank on getting a check from the power companies they are lobbying to stop that.South of Columbus, Ohio.

Last year I had 10" of insulation blown into my attic. It helped reduce our consumption but then rates rose, so my bills were the same. I don't see them coming down anytime soon. -

We decided to go on the roof (patio roof, so not above living space). Based on buybacks, we are only putting in enough for 85% of our annual usage. If I lived a mile in either east I would put in 120% and be happy as a clam. Instead my utility credits $0.037 per kilowatt in "avoided cost" for the month and no roll-over to next month. A good friend of mine had electric bills of around $1200 during summer months. He lives in a good utility company area, and he dropped his utility bill to almost $0 (averaged for the year). He installed an almost 23 kw system. Mine is only 9.6 kw.HeavyG said:alaskanassasin said:HeavyG said:Ozzie_Isaac said:JohnfromKentucky said:Ozzie_Isaac said:Decided to save the environment. thank your local government. They struck deals with these companies to provide you with utilities
