OT - For Car Lovers: Some Recent Exotic Spottings
GrateEggspectations
Posts: 9,969
Have come across quite a few exotics/fun cars as of late - many of which I had previously only seen on paper/monitors. I have always loved cars but have never owned anything too extravagant. A 2011 5.0 was my wildest buy to date, and I suspect the future holds only family-appropriate vehicles, so the sun may have set on sports cars for me.
Below are a few fun cars I’ve spotted in the last few months. I like to live vicariously. Some people sure know how to live.
(Not quite an exotic, but very cool nonetheless...)
Also seen, but moving too quickly for a pic were a couple of Maclarens, an Aventador, several M5s, a Carrera 4S and a few other Continental GTs.
What have you spotted recently?

Great idea for a thread here. You have seen a good number of really cool cars out in the wild."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

I pulled up next to a sweet late model Ferrari the other day. Not sure of the model. There is a bright orange Lamborghini I see around town quite a bit.NOLA

Given you are in the passenger seat of the Maserati GT, you are living well in a vicarious way. Let me say that once you arrive at the empty-nest stage in life you will again be afforded the opportunity to go forth and enjoy great things. However, your reflexes (and a measure of common sense) will likely throttle back on the adrenaline rush you would like to achieve at speed.
Sweet looking rides right there. You are living in a high roller neighborhood. I used to (pre-covid) visit (around three times a year) a coffee and cars event held monthly to eye-ball those sorts of vehicles. Never have seen a Bentley station wagon before.
Gotta love the Chevrolet- impressive in the restoration that likely cost more than some of the current autos.
Nice post- around here I see lots of John Deere tractors and dually rigged trucks hauling horse trailers. Of course, some of the trailer occupants are high dollar themselves.
Be well-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -
Here in the town where I am I see Bentleys regularly, a few Lambo’s and Mclarens as well. There are a couple Rolls Royce folks in my parents neighborhood and they also have a super hot chick neighbor that always drives yellow exotics every time I see her. She has a Maserati, And Ferrari California that I know of.The coolest ones though belong to a guy that drives around either his Audi R8, his 2017 Ford GT or his Mclaren around town. He’s some tech CEO. The crazy part is the guy has no legs. He is cool as hell and we’ve chatted a few times. No telling how much it costs him to get those things retrofitted.

And you guys complain about the high cost of lump charcoal... I am missing the mark and clearly on the short end of the stick.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

If I can get something running I will go look. When I lived in RTP I saw some sweet rides coolest IMO was a Ford GT. But where I live in Ohio I am more likely to see a Amish Buggy.

KY doesn't have a lot going for it but the Corvette manufacturing plant and museum are worth a visit.

Nothing very exciting around here. I've seen a couple of those Bently SUV's around.
I found a couple random license plates on my phone.

My Dad's best friend races down in North Carolina. Fun to see what he's doing in his shop when stopping over.

NOT exotic AT ALL! But still love my '95 Mercedes I bought brand new and here 25 years later I still only have 65K on the odometer. Besides that at only 65K it's a diesel which means it is a "puppy" and will run until my executor sells it!

Full disclosure: I didn’t see this car first-hand. It was purchased by the neighbour of my B-I-L, who also owns an R8 V10 and a Lambo, though I forget which model now.
