Replacing the heater/controller of our spa after a near lightning strike last year. System worked for a while until the control pad no longer showed data. Shut the spa down until we could replace the pad and heater control unit.

Took photos so I could remember what went where.  Didn't need to do that since the color coding was on the panel, revealed by opening the panel door on the upper left.  Had to closer off the water inlet and outlet on either side of the heating tube, disconnect the electric cables and conduit, and disconnect the grounds.  Then I had to decouple the unit and remove it from the wooden mounting panel.

Also reconfigured the back skirting so I wasn't removing a 51" x 81" panel and then trying to hold it up to reattach without driving screws thru the panel. Made it a two part panel, held by 4 skirting strips and screws. Much easier. 

Just have to wait for the water temp to get to 95 degrees. When I started working on this job this morning the temperature of the water was 65 degrees. Just checked before posting and it had risen to 72. Guess I'll need to wait until tomorrow evening to go in again. Sure have missed using our spa.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to make an appropriate assessment. I just delivered it, wings and a meatloaf to a friends house for his Christmas party. I’ll have to rely on them. 

@ColtsFan - That is bringing top-shelf goods to a party as the caterer-no tasting included.  Impressive gesture and likely the quality of which will not be completely appreciated but I understand the reasoning.  You are quite the friend. Most excellent!

OK, short answer, it's a cinnamon roll with cream cheese icing.

Longer story for any interested, for generations and for reasons no one can remember, public schools in this area (and others I believe) have on the lunch rotation chili w/cinnamon rolls.  If you grow up with it seems to stay with you.

Normally we'd have rolls from a bakery, once in awhile we roll our own.  This time Angie picked up something new for from the market.  In my mind this is a cake but, was sold as cinnamon rolls.  Was good but not likely to buy again.  The chili was above average.

*Note half that "cake" went to Angie's dad.

Posted in the OT  Pandemic thread but thought it may provoke some conversation:
"Now that there is a vaccine, we need the "across the culture" heavy-weights to be queued up and media hyped getting the shot.  This will go far in helping convince many that it is safe.  
First in line should be POTUS (aka Cheeto) as that will change the trajectory of the nay-sayers but I hold little hope of that happening. 
I am current culture driver challenged but I'm sure you could get a whole lot of media and eye-ball saturation with less than 100 celebrities in all fields to volunteer.  Too bad it won't happen.

Now back to my regularly scheduled pedestrian cooking:
Gotta admit that this was the most tender flat iron I have ever had.  (Will be able to enjoy when I lose all teeth.  )
It was a 2.4 lb SRF Gold (first time down that cut of their steaks but won't be the last-)

One for the money$$-

Went direct with the paella style fire bed-dome open and lower vent shut creating a full bed of lava. No cave-man.
Stay healthy and safe-

Here in Nevada, I am among the first “tier” to receive the vaccine. I am a little hesitant due to the time of not knowing if there are any real side effects and duration of the vaccine lasting. I will take it though. The health department sent out a survey of those that will take it. From those around me, I would say it is close to 60/40  for those that will take it. We shall see how this roll out goes.

70 & 71 year old cple here.  Glad we're not at the top of the list, neither sure of decision to make on vaccine.  Thanks to all who give us some results to see before we commit...hope it works well for you!

I'm glad you explained that.  The above was one of the more bizarre photos I've seen on this forum.

Not to worry my friend. I have been trying to eat better for a while. I was getting so fat that when I farted it sounded like two oiled sea lions fukking so I thought I better cut back. 

On a side note, on Sundays I treat myself and eat whatever I want. I have lost enough weight that I can now fart The Star Spangled Banner in perfect key 👍
