Here's the video by the way, if you haven't seen it:

So do you feel any different now that the truth has come out? They confirmed he had a knife and he admitted to it. He wasnt there breaking up a fight his girlfriend called the police because he wasnt supposed to be there. You know why he wasnt supposed to be there? The 14 yr old he raped the month before lives on the street.

I think you are very confused as to what I felt or believed about this case, not to mention what it means for someone to deserve to be shot.

Nothing? Do you think when a known armed felon is resisting arrest with an outstanding warrant and reaching into his car for something is an acceptable time to shoot or no?

@JohnEggGio - as you note, this buildup and militarizing of the various reefs has been going on for many years.  The Spratlys were the initial hot-spot and that started in the mid 1970's I believe as the region found the oil and natural gas reserves.  Nothing really new, just the ongoing pi$$ing contest has been ratcheted up a bit.

Also, I'm predicting a market crash whether Trump wins or not ... but if he doesn't win, it will be worse.  Here's why. The markets are being artificially pumped right now.  There's tonnes of evidence to suggest what is happening is not normal ... especially with job losses and also economies reporting 30% dips in GDP.  I think the market is being pumped to help Trump get re-elected. Once he is re-elected (if he is) ... then they don't need to pump the markets anymore ... and they will probably need to let it go at some stage ... they can't just keep printing money (or maybe they can ...).
That is rather bold to predict a market crash on a particular day.  How will you be deploying your capital to take advantage of this significant drop in the equity markets?  And when?
Dude, I have to ask ... is this a legit question, or are you trolling for a reaction by reacting adversely to my humble opinion (which I honestly don't have time for or interest to pursue)? I'm not a financial advisor, and you should use your own judgement to determine investment strategies that are suitable to you, as well as the risk you are willing to take. I can only share my thoughts, speculations and assumptions for debate EXCLUSIVELY ... do not rely on my information at all for your own investments.

Assuming that this is a legit question, and simply for the sake of discussion, this past week I moved most of my cash investments to funds that favor bonds over equity ... not totally bonds, because I cannot be completely sure ... but there is definitely weighting on bonds/cash (say around 60% to 65%).

If the market crashes, I will invest, likely early 2021 ... particularly when I can still make pension contributions, which will lower my taxes due, and serve as a double benefit (get a chunk of that money back in tax returns, and buy in the market at a good entry).

No need for me to rush to invest, sit back and I'll see what happens, and for me, it's never a fully in or fully out thing. It's a matter of what proportion is in bonds/cash vs. equity ... and that varies dependent on whether I am bullish or bearish.

Those were serious questions, thank you for taking the time to answer.

I can't get behind the stark conclusion but the article is definitely worth the read as the body of the piece appears on target to me.  Remember, I am old and have a lawn.   B)

"The Trump/Pence version of Christianity is a fusion of religion with reactionary nationalism, where faith is defined by protecting a traditional way of life against foes both domestic and foreign. This way of life can be defined in simple shorthand as a nostalgic idealization of 1950s America, with the need to maintain rigid racial and gender hierarchies. This explains the importance Trump-supporting Christians give to issues like abortion, immigration (threatening because it changes the racial demography of America), and LGBT rights."

Or Trump supporting Christians believe abortion is wrong, always has been wrong, always will be wrong.

If you believe abortion is always wrong the answer is pretty simple - you just need to avoid having one.

Yes I always forget that Trump supporters care first and foremost about the sanctity of life.  Not sure why I keep forgetting that.

By the way, didn’t you say you were done?  Or was that just for the day?  That seems to happen a lot around here.

Did you watch the videos? All the stories about a vigilante are clearly wrong. You can see before the first shooting he is just standing there then takes off running as you see several people come running into the screen after him and throwing stuff. He runs as they are getting closer then finally turns and shoots the one. Self defense for sure.

There is so much wrong with this article.  I’ll just add that actions speak louder than words.  Trump is a lot of things that make us cringe, but he has followed through on Constructionist judicial appointments and on policies that support religious freedoms.  We may disagree on the purpose and content of those specific policies, but he has done what he promised in these areas.  Not looking to argue the policies.

One guy is kicking him while you can see one of the guys that got killed running up behind to hit him with a skateboard. You can see what happened next which is what you would expect. This is what you guys are supporting.

A 17 year old who murderered two people, shot a third where the damage was so severe, he had to have his arm amputated, vs. Donald Trump?

Ok. I totally get it. A total shīt stain is better than Trump. You know what the bad part is? I agree.

He only killed 2. Trump has killed over 200,000.

    Totally presidential material.

This is the problem the dems keep making stuff up. Watch the videos he didnt murder anyone. Before a shot was ever fired he was running and being chased with things being thrown at him. After he turned and killed a guy that was chasing him he was attacked by multiple other people. He didnt shoot anyone else until he was kicked and hit with a skateboard and they tried to take his gun. Look at them attacking him in my post above. This is all the dems fault for promoting these rioters.

Which policies has he delivered that support religious freedoms?  I’m not looking to pick a fight here, I’m genuinely curious to hear your view.  I do appreciate your opinion on this kind of thing.
