I also disagree with several aspects of Medicare for all which she seems to favor or at least a modified version of it. We no doubt need to fix tons of broken problems within our healthcare system but making it 100% government ran won’t end well.
I was under 100% subsidized health care, run by the United States government, for 26 years and it was great. Under DoD. I had no problem seeing a doctor, got everything taken care of, in a timely manner. And, according to Tom Philpott, at a hugely lower cost than under private insurance.
On the other hand, the US government also runs one of the worst health systems, the VA. Its so bad there have been many suicides, in the parking lots of VA facilities, due to frustration and poor service.
We CAN do it, but it needs to be set up with the correct model, and run by a competent leader, not the biggest donor to the trump campaign (devos, the Postmaster General, etc).___________"When small men begin to cast big shadows, it means that the sun is about to set."

Maybe the problem is it’s just associated with being a damn liberal idea vs being evaluated on its merits.
We like to demonize ideas because of the perceived source or support being those other guys. We also f-up implementation of a lot of good ideas d/t partisanship. Both directions, this isn’t meant to be a partisan post.Love you bro! -

Partisanship effectively kept the ACA from achieving its potential when key aspects were not fully implemented.

doing romney care in mass where the public is mostly democrats in a state practically littered with hospitals and health services is completely different than doing it country wide. theres probably 50 major hospitals in a 20 mile radius of me and pretty much everyone here was already covered. there was basically the whole system in place before romney

The basic pillars of this make perfect sense if you understand economies of scale and pooling risk. It’s entirely independent of which state you try to put it in place. It actually makes more sense as something to move to in regions where there are lots of people who are uninsured."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike -
