In this scenario, which one is John and which one is Carey? Hmmm?
Carey? Even has a chics name? That is hilarious.
Especially to those with an infantile sense of humor.

Right.   I'm sure he's just thankful he doesn't have a physical impairment of some sort, because then you would also be mocking that.
You are such a hypocrite what a joke. All the crap you gave Craig for being fat.

So do you think that's maybe not an OK thing to do?  To make fun of someone for struggling with their weight, never mind a physical impairment they have no control over?

I guess it could be worse.  You could be telling me how all these people have been sending you messages about how I’m ruining the forum.

I don’t recall, you admonishing the Yukon guy for his repeated slur against those with alternative lifestyles. That’s about par for YOUR course. Selective outrage. Classic.

Pete's willful ignorance and disbelief in science is the kind of thinking that is part of the reason we have more Americans dead from this pandemic in 5 months than we have had Americans die in all wars combined since WWII.
I thought it was guys like you that preach to all the others but routinely break the rules and put others at risk while wringing you’re hands. You sir are a documented case of someone not following the guidance. The funny part is that you are the one that brought this to our attention. Shop time. Working on cars with buddies. Cook outs with lots of people there. Fishing trips. Drunken mayhem with Evan at the shop with all the gang. All the while lecturing others about how they should behave. Oh, the shame you bear. It must be embarrassing.
I have a "pod" of people, maybe half a dozen, I will occasionally hang out with, but I have not been to a restaurant or bar since the initial lockdown.  Have not been to the office in 5 months.  Rarely go to the store, and when I do I wear a mask.  And I socially distance myself from these people.
LOL! How big is this pod? What is their habits and behavior? I figured you would have a canned response since Michael called you out a long time ago. Since then you quit posting pics of your dangerous behavior. Good call BTW.

HOW ABOUT WE MAKE EVERY SCHOOL CLASSROOM A POD LIKE YOU HAVE. THERE PROBLEM SOLVED!

All caps and such just for your reading pleasure. 😂
Unbeknownst to yourself, you actually made a sensible suggestion. This is one of the safeguards being considered by many schools.
You assume quite a bit Socrates.

Maybe take a break from the bourbon for a bit and come back to the forum and posting when you’ve had a chance to sober up.

Most relevant post in this thread today... and it got lost in the sauce!

This is the reason why schools are trying to be cautious about opening, and how they operate going forward. So much to consider... kids' safety, their development, COVID spread/transmission, parents jobs, economic factors, etc.

The glimmer of hope, in the numbers presented above, is that pediatric COVID infections (and deaths) are a tiny fraction of the infections and deaths seen in adults. That may be  small consolation. As Osterholm says in the podcast above, rates in adults depend on a numerator and a denomitaor. But when we're talking about kids, its hard to get past the numerator.

The school districts here are earnestly trying to do the best by everyone involved. Time will tell.

One benefit of the school opening issue being in the limelight, is that news outlets are now putting out more numbers about COVID infection in that setting.

I think the article linked to is stating numbers for COVIDus thus far, i.e. 50+ infections, almost 700 quarantined since the spring?

Yep, it seems to be cumulative and is probably tracking with general population of greater Austin which I think is starting to back off a little now.  The impact of teachers or others associated with schools getting sick will be tough to overcome whenever in-class schooling starts.  I can’t imagine the decisions a school or district will have to make when they get flare-ups.  Oscillating between in-class and remote will be tough on everyone.
    Love you bro!

Things are rarely ever one person’s fault.  It’s more a question of responsibility, leadership and influence.
