John I’m not going to waste my time digging through Ron’s posts to find anything but as much time as you spend on this forum you are well aware of what I’m referring to. It’s not like it just happens every once in a while. Plus I’m sure most of it has been deleted by now. I’ll see myself out now. Like I said before, spend a little less time here arguing with people and a little more time in the community and with your family. Both would appreciate it greatly and it would likely be more satisfying to you as well.
Exactly. You and I were thinking of the same person and I have never talked to you in my life and John still can't accept it. He is that person we were all referring to earlier that already thinks he is right on everything so he's not listening.

You must have a better phone than I do cuz mine changes stuff a bit. Sometimes it changes the entire word and not just punctuation.

I only read the faux news (tho I wish I knew where those apparently secret sources of the "real news" that some folks read are located) but my recollection regarding the mask thing early in this mess was that the recommendation was not to wear masks for a couple of reasons:
1 - disposable masks and improperly fitted N95 masks do little to protect the wearer. That is true.
2 - they didn't want people to panic buy the available stock of masks which would increase the shortage of such gear in the hospitals where personnel there really need them. Despite number one people did still panic buy masks.

Fauci was right about one and two.

Early on there wasn't widespread certainty as to the manner of transmission of the virus - could it be aerosolized or was physical contact (from hand to face for instance) necessary.

Later, we learn that the airborne virus is a thing thus the recommendation was that wearing a cloth mask is useful as it lessens the ability of the wearer to spread a contagion to others. A simple courtesy for the good of all.
He was right to knowingly lie about the importance of masks? You excuse this by accepting the week explanation about transmissions? You are easily satisfied. They were either dramatically wrong or they purposely lied. That’s a choice between bad and worse. It’s just hard for me to believe a highly contagious virus can spread through the air. Not. 🤔

You guys are locked into the view that people are either in one of two camps.  It's either the "It's all Trump's fault" camp or it's the "None of this is actually Trump's fault" camp.  It's a caricature of what people actually believe, one that would decompose if you actually bothered to take the time to talk to them with any level of depth beyond a kiddie pool.

So you read a list of complaints about Trump from Ron and just assume he must be blaming everything on Trump.  Because you haven't seen him blame, oh I don't know, Cuomo for something you're just taking things to the end of the spectrum to where he thinks everything is Trump's fault.  It's just a simplistic way of processing the world where all subtlety is lost, but the utility in trying to make this point is also clearly pretty hopeless.  I might as well be trying to talk pigeons out of crapping all over everything.

HIV was not nearly as contagious and was also lied about routinely. Not familiar with Ebola.

I never said that they all can spread that way, but if you aren’t sure, it might be a reasonable idea to default to that assumption until you have certainty to the contrary. BTW, that doesn’t mean asking China.

To make the obvious point here Pete, I've never once seen you blame Trump for anything.  It's possible you have, I just don't remember it.

So were I to apply your own "reasoning" skills here, and I use that term loosely, I would say that you don't think Trump can do *anything* wrong.

But that would be a ridiculous assertion, wouldn't it?

Pete's willful ignorance and disbelief in science is the kind of thinking that is part of the reason we have more Americans dead from this pandemic in 5 months than we have had Americans die in all wars combined since WWII.
I thought it was guys like you that preach to all the others but routinely break the rules and put others at risk while wringing you’re hands. You sir are a documented case of someone not following the guidance. The funny part is that you are the one that brought this to our attention. Shop time. Working on cars with buddies. Cook outs with lots of people there. Fishing trips. Drunken mayhem with Evan at the shop with all the gang. All the while lecturing others about how they should behave. Oh, the shame you bear. It must be embarrassing.
I have a "pod" of people, maybe half a dozen, I will occasionally hang out with, but I have not been to a restaurant or bar since the initial lockdown.  Have not been to the office in 5 months.  Rarely go to the store, and when I do I wear a mask.  And I socially distance myself from these people.
LOL! How big is this pod? What is their habits and behavior? I figured you would have a canned response since Michael called you out a long time ago. Since then you quit posting pics of your dangerous behavior. Good call BTW.

HOW ABOUT WE MAKE EVERY SCHOOL CLASSROOM A POD LIKE YOU HAVE. THERE PROBLEM SOLVED!

All caps and such just for your reading pleasure. 😂
Unbeknownst to yourself, you actually made a sensible suggestion. This is one of the safeguards being considered by many schools.
