"I'm sorry if any of y'all are a liberal but it sucks that we have to deal with the phony crisis due to China teaming up with Joe Biden to create this virus so he can steal the election from Trump."

We're all 1099 ISO's so not much management can do but they did delete his post.

Oh, he's the Uncle of our National VP of Sales.

That is so completely wrong.  The Chinese were clearly working with Bernie to create a need for universal healthcare.

One of my best friends is a very successful business man, engineer, real estate investor etc. All totally self-made.

He is convinced that this is essentially a global conspiracy for world governments to gain power and unite with common interests. Sort of the new world order. I know of countless others who also believe this is a real threat, but no more than seasonal flu and the media is trying to frame trump. When I ask who the rest of the PLANET is also tanking the world-wide economy just to eliminate Trump when worst case is he's gone in 4 more years, they don't have a solid response.

I am a very conservative political voter and even more so socially conservative. I am just dumbfounded at how people, some of which are successful, smart people and well educated, yet think so crazily. That said, I do believe there are those who will use ANY reason to blame Trump....

Maybe I am just crazy too....

Several of our Chinese PhD students has already been harassed in public.  We even have one Japanese student who was harassed.  

I think it's easy for those of us who perhaps look like "typical Americans" to think that referring to this as the "Chinese flu" is not a big deal.  But it is.  And it's not good.

If that's really how you reacted to my comment I don't know what to say and obviously can't help you anyways.  I was simply trying to get GATraveller to think about how this kind of thing impacts some of the more vulnerable people among us.  

For the record, there are things Trump has done that are worthy of support.  I don't think people who voice support for some of the things Trump does are idiots.  As for those who support *every thing* he or any other President does, well that's a different story, isn't it?

My realtor is Chinese. She came here 10 years ago from Beijing. Spoke to her last week before this thing really took off. She was at the local farmers market with her kids. Walked up to a vendor and tried to buy produce. The guy literally backed away and wouldn't serve her.
