You will absolutely love it! I use mine regularly.  I started at a 1 and worked my way up to a 5, but found that a 3.5-4.0 is pretty much perfect for me.

I did the same. 3.5-4.5 is my range. Like the “feather” blades

@SGH Santa brought the poultry shears you recommended. Different brand (Messermeister) but I got  to use them first in a class we taught at this store. These would cut through a hog. No more weak-a$$ poultry shears for me. Thanks for the recommendation!

Very nice! This is on a future Christmas list, but will be few years before my necessities are filled out to where I can ask for one of these.

My wife and I didn't do gifts this year, only stuff for the kiddo. But my day was awesome watching him open all the toys and we have been playing non stop all day. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

Ours Was very kid-heavy this year as well. We got each other a few things we needed anyway but went all out on the kids (“kids” - even though they are all now almost 20-somethings). They have been playing  like little kids again though and it has been so fun to watch.

Wife & I didn’t do gifts for each other either (just kids and grandkids), so I built an edge grain cutting board just for my shop.  Used an old oak pallet, and some walnut & cherry around the edges.  It’s an ugly duckling and really heavy, but should last forever!
