I may pull the trigger on this next week. Been waiting over a year on the call from Shirley to no avail, so my smoker fund may get repurposed.

Worth every penny. I was close to getting that one but went with a pizza party Bollore instead.

Awesome. I've heard you can no longer purchase a Pizza Party in the US?

Got any pics? I looked through your submissions but didn't see any dedicated threads to the Pizza Party.

I thought you were closer to 2.5 year mark for the Shirley wait?

You are correct. He stopped selling to the US. Freight was costing like $400-$500 and I think it was a hassle for him so he’s sticking to selling in Europe. Here is a picture. Scale is off slightly but I can easily cook a 15” by 20” pizza in there. The opening is 15” I was even able to get one of the last green ones. Matches my eggs.

This thing looks pretty cool.  I gather you can fire it with either gas or wood?

Yes sir. Haven’t tried a wood fire yet but plan on it this fall and winter. Will be getting a outdoor kitchen built in the next few weeks so won’t be able to use anything other than the large egg for a bit.

That is funny. I’ve never had a flat tire while driving but I still carry a spare. YMMV
I would've been stranded far fewer times, over the years, if I had a spare battery in lieu of a spare tire.
And now I guess I have one, bought one of those rechargeable batteries that can recharge your phone, laptop, and turn over your vehicle.  Told a coworker about it, she bought one and used it the very next weekend, it turned over her F-350!  Pretty impressive, about the size of a VHS tape.

I don't have a spare in my car, but I do have one of those jump packs in my boat and truck.  Lithium saved the planet.  (but maybe not Peru)

I got an ozone generator today in the mail.  I did the bathroom and my truck.  It's running in the shop behind the house for 2 hours right now.  10,000 mg/hr O3.  Will report on how it works.  Right now everything smells like an indoor swiming pool, but should air out in a few hours.

Supplemental garage heat and a backup emergency heat plan (Besides the eggs)

I had a large garage in Grand Forks, held two vehicles and my woodshop.  I insulated the walls/ceiling, and bought that top heater.  Brought my garage from -20 to 50 in about 20 minutes.  But, cast iron does NOT warm up that quickly, and I rusted a lot of tools before I realized what was going on.
House was destroyed spring of '96, three months after I'd sold it, in the Great Flood.

They work well. The garage has a couple ducts ran to it from the HVAC system in the house. There’s also an electric baseboard heater along one wall. It will be kept a constant +40* with the aforementioned heat. I really think it will come in handy when it’s 10* outside and I want to get it to 70 in 10 minutes

Smart, keeping the relative humidity low is important when you bump up the temp and the house air has a lower water content than ambient.  One problem with those direct flame heaters is they create plenty of water through combustion.

Close.  A laboratory, I think.  My buddy is a contractor for our network and does lab renovation.  Out with the old, in with the new.  He and I are consummate junk collectors.

What's the word on this? do you like it ?
Do you think it has a decent life expectancy?

Edit: sorry, didn't notice you had received it today. Let me know what you think after you have had time to test it.

So far I like it.  The big test will be my neighbor's Honda Odyssey, which they bought to take their dog pack to the park/river.  Smells like wet dog.  Will be treating that tonight.

Supposed to have a 20k hours life span.  Reviews suggest they either last forever or break immediately.

Go to Amazon, search for "ozone generator" and read the reviews.  Almost too good to be true.  Time will tell and I'll update here.

Sounds like I need to bring my PC to New Orleans. The prisoner compartment smells like a combination of a$$ and cafeteria spaghetti.

Thanks. I have a Calgon iWave-C in the A/C return filter compartment for a test run this weekend, we have installed a few dozen of them for various Churches around the city. They are fairly expensive at around $600 each, I'm inclined to believe they are snake oil, but hopefully I can get some idea if they really do anything this weekend.
An ozone generator is what everyone really needs, if it were not bad for their health.

We rented one when we painted all the woodwork in the house with oil base paint. The smell was really bad.  Used the ozone generator in closed rooms for about 20mins. Let it sit for 20 mins then opened the windows. The fresh air made the room smell like a spring rain. Loved it and it worked great.  Also used in our wide open basement after oil base paint on the block walls. Did trick there too.

No because I bought it from Woot! So I wasn't looking for one.  I had checked them out before, price was right for $75.

We pulled ozone out of the roof after radiating plastic. Always thought of it as a bad thing. It did have a particular smell though.
