Bottom line is this is a different "war". There's no way to win in the conventional way.
I troll these subjects because it's fun. I'm serious about 1% of the time.
As a person of faith we have to struggle with Christ view and ours. To me, it's not always black and white. Would He haves us help? Here or abroad? There are lots of things to wrestle with. Should believers carry firearms? Would Jesus want you to protect yourself, your family and others? People have to decide that for themselves. Christ never got involved in politics per say... He did offer teachings though of how to deal with people that are oppressing. You can't merely read the Bible without digging into the cultures and meanings. To take one verse out and defend anything is like people taking a verse out of the Koran to prove all Muslims believe that way.
I believe @Eggcelsior said it. They win by fear. I was really disappointed that Coldplay and U2 canceled their concerts in Paris. Bring them here, love them and let the chips fall. We're probably not going to stop an attack. We've already given our govt to phone and email conversations.

In fact, I'm far more likely to loathe them than I am to loathe a comedian I happen to disagree with.
In example, Dennis Miller is hilarious and has an enviable mastery of The Language. He's just wrong most of the time.
