Just heard from my folks in Houston. They did not lose power, a lot of flooding around them and a lot of rain. But they are ok."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

@Legume, stay safe! Never had a brisket finish that fast, not sure if I trimmed more than I thought or if SRF Black just makes that much of a difference.... All my prior L&S - butts and briskets - have all gone longer than target. Oh well, cow drives the cook and this cow drove fast!Doug

Yep there's a lot to it. We have it set up so she can't download new apps without our approval, and there is another app that sets a limited time per day on the device.Legume said:
John - great way to learn about what new apps kids are using, set the security so she can't add them herself and she has to ask. I am constantly amazed at the new apps out there that kids know about but parents haven't even heard of yet. My kids educate me...now that they're adults and mostly out from under the thumb.JohnInCarolina said:
Lol! She received a (used) iPod touch for her birthday. It is a little scary just how excited she is to be able to text with all of her friends.Legume said:

The Lanes "one legged chicken" was great. Good heat but not stupid hot. Nice flavor for traditional style hot wings. The John Henry's No whims sauce is very different, but I like it. A more savory heat like you might get in some spiced up baked beans. Worth a try, both.
