Called our local Publix and was told they had a four bone slab of short ribs. Should have put my name on them. Went to pick them up and all they had was cut ribs. Not to be dismayed, they looked pretty good, so took them home and put them on to cook. First time doing beef short ribs and wasn't sure how long it would take. Target time was 3 hours. Lost track of time and didn't check them at the halfway point and turned them into hockey pucks. Obviously, 3 hours was too long. Had to drop back and punt with sauted chicken with lemon, wine, and heavy cream sauce. Steamed asparagus and fettuccine were the supporting cast. Will try the ribs again this week.

All electric. His entire family was there, and it was the last show of the tour. Great show. Will be coming back next year too.
Hate to burst your bubble, but he will be performing about 20 miles away from me tomorrow (Peoria,IL).  Planning on being there.

You should. He announced last night it was the last stop on the tour. Good for you. It will be a great show.

Very much looking forward to it. Trying to decide how much more to drink before meeting up with @nolaegghead, and @FleurdeLirious.  We started imbibing over grilled oysters and a po boy at ACME Oyster house earlier...

Had them check the run out when I got em balanced today.  I think all the rims were bent to some degree when I bought it three years ago.  One was bad and I got it straightened.

NOLA is pothole central, but I'm really careful and haven't hit any hard enough in my opinion.

Car drives fine, have a little shake at some speeds.  But the suspension soaks that up (very light wheels/tires).   Still, bad for struts, tires, suspension in general.  Gonna buy a new set.

Are you sure they were hockey pucks?  Beef ribs shrink up a terrible amount when they're done, and the above don't look bad at all.
    (your fehttuchini looks fantastic, regardless)

We had a great time, Dan. I really regret the walk through the quarter and the Pat O's Hurricane though.  I needed a towel when I got home.  (always bring a towel!)

Travis told me he's gonna wait until you're 1K views behind, then he's gonna nuke this with a D!ck bomb.  Don't shoot the messenger. I have his phone number if you want to talk him out of it.

This particular post has hung by a thread more than once.  I have often wondered how many posts will be lost in the post count war when this thread gets nuked.

Thanks @Botch. I'm afraid so. We did nibble on them a little and the beef flavor was fantastic, just too well done for me. I had planned on fettuccine Alfredo as a side for the ribs, but switched to lemon wine sauce instead to go with the chicken. Hey, as long as it has heavy cream, we're good. Will do a re-do of the ribs this weekend. Pics to follow.
