Took today and tomorrow off.  Time zone changes are a fecker. ;)  Good news is N gathered some Guinness draught and Smithwicks at the store today.  Should keep the shakes away tomorrow.  Irish brews are legit!

I talked My Beautiful Wife out of having me do that.
Please do not show her that picture.
She will have me with a glue gun sticking those damn things on the walls of our kitchen.

Quick!  Get a wood chipper and turn 'em into mulch for the garden.  Can't glue that on the walls.

I shoved a limb that was maybe a bit over sized in it a couple years ago.....turns out, it had more metal in it than an Abrams. Good way to find that out, you know, after you push it in the chipper.
It still shreds leaves very nicely though.

I've hit some of those hidden gems with chainsaws and, because I make lots of stuff with recycled wood, my shop tools.

I bought a great metal detector that's paid for itself many times over in tool steel.

Don't get me started about chainsaws. I find a lot of metal with those too.
I like your suggestion on the metal detector.
    I have always wanted one.

I like it. That would have paid for itself just on the cost of the chains for my saw, when I took down my neighbor's tree for them.
    I am getting it.
Trying to get the woodwork in our old home ready to paint, this thing would be great to help find nails.

@foghorn 5 people fishing. My son and I pulled in 2 a piece. Good morning until he got his share of the 4' seas.  Spent the last two hours bent over the gunwales.

@theyolksonyou, now you have some great fish and a great story.   :)

    Sorry for your son though.

Have I mentioned our 100 year + home has neither a square corner or a wall that is plumb? How did they build homes like this and they stand for over 100 years, while people continually say: "they don't build them like they used to." ???
    I hope they don't.
This, the remodeling of an old home, is the express lane to zero wealth (next to the BGE ownership, of course).
