    Thought you might like this, @botch. At music clubs in downtown Mérida, they have SPL meters opposite the stage. They use them to ensure they are not exceeding municipal noise bylaws, but I like them from an audience member perspective. 


    Our soundman had a handheld unit he used, he was a stickler for that stuff.

    At the airport.  Giving a talk at Columbia University tomorrow.

    Went to an escape room for the first time with the fam. It was a pretty fun time. This one was a Star Trek themed one.

    I use an app called “SPL Meter”. Never AB’d it against another meter, but likely should.
