The first few minutes are pretty hot. I'm maybe 5-6 minutes into it and I'm comfortable

    Chasing with milk or anything?

I'll go the whole hour without eating or drinking anything but it seems kind of pointless after 10 or so minutes.

The hour is up. I'm apparently "invincible" according to the chart. The first few minutes is where you really feel it. Besides that it wasn't all that bad. I wouldn't say enjoyable by any stretch but watching others online I imagined it being much, much worse.

The small price you have to pay for spicy food. It's worth the trade off for most spicy foods but maybe not so much a single chip.  ;)

@WeberWho - As above-the morning rewind could be rolling in hot and unless a power milk enema, no relief in sight.
Doubt that will be any issue as I believe this is not your first One Chip rodeo.
    Any time limit?
BTW- hope the winter storm pounding you just got was less than the high drama national forecasters predicted and the juice stayed on with no big side impacts.

The max time was an hour without food or drink. I'll grab something to eat so I don't go to bed on an empty stomach. That should help keep the belly happy.

We were fortunate to get less than expected but the wind did make some pretty big snow drifts. I helped my buddy out who does snow removal yesterday as they are short handed. We started shoveling about 3pm and I think I pulled into my driveway around midnight. Im happy to see no snow in the forecast for a few days!

Tried to watch that new movie “Die Hart” on prime, but had to turn it off after about 30 minutes into it. Big fan of Kevin Hart, but that was one of the corniest things I’ve seen in awhile.  Listening to some tunes now.

Today I had my 6-mo dentist appointment.  The hygienist did a preliminary poking, and then scanned each tooth with a new instrument that looked like a wireless TV remote, with a long neck.  She scanned one back tooth and it made a sonar-type sound, scanned the same tooth again, and nothing.
She finished and said, "Thought you may have had one cavity, but you don't"  Along with computers and intranetz stuff, I'm amazed at the tech advancements over my lifetime in dentistry.

But, when I got home, my tinnitus had been turned up, x3!  My left ear especially, the ringing was killing me!  It's now 8:30 or so, and most of the tinnitus has backed off to its normal volume, but I have a soft, varying "vacuum-cleaner" type sound in my left ear, I'm hoping it's gone by tomorrow morning.
Has anyone else with a recent dental visit experienced this?

What, y'all broke the last one?

I'll hook you up with enough for a headboard (free!) but you have to figure out how to get it.

I have some cypress stumps.  I can get roots and knees pretty easily, let me know.

@JohnInCarolina - How many applicants for the fellowship, and how many reviewers or are you the sole adjudicator?  Definitely different than playing the straight up academic role.

We're in the second stage now - there are just over 200 applications left. We started with over 400.   The current batch are being read by four teams of 3 people, to advance about half of them for a final week of reading in NYC next month.  I am the lead of the A and B teams.

The fellowship provides up to four years of a stipend plus full graduate tuition, plus support for doing research during a summer at any of the DOE labs, so the stakes are not low.

Thanks and I would say that stakes are pretty high.  Good luck to the team making the final call as I'm sure at that point there is no real difference amongst the candidates.
At least you've got NYC on the horizon as long as you don't follow Pete's recent insights.  =)

Cold oil fries. Someone posted it here not long ago and it reminded me that I hadn’t done it in a while.

It's buried in a sunk thread, but it was the main pressure reducing valve for the house.  There are two, one for inside and one for outside hose bibs and irrigation.  The inside failed and I never took an inside pressure reading (I didn't realize the hose bibs were with the irrigation).  I had 165 or 170 psi in the house for a few weeks and somehow managed to not have anything in the house or walls blow.  I was very lucky.
    Love you bro!
