Daycare is still under reconstruction after the cold snap caused burst pipes. More Daddy duty today and severe thunderstorms outside. Watching the original Willy Wonka and eating “srriiiwarerries” with the youngins.

found an old knife in the garage at camp, started cleaning it up. looks like an old late 1800's foster brothers butcher knife. just an assumption with age because of the rivet size and layout.might be used for hacking up fish in the future. it needs some work

Nice find brother. I’m sucker for old knives and slaughter equipment (hooks, chains, drags etc, etc). On a separate note, it will make a great anus splitter 👍

That is a sweet setup.  Been a minute since I have looked into new rimfires, and didn't realize Ruger was in the factory suppressor game.  Might have to send ol'Joe $200 myself.

They don’t make screw on cans but they do make the ISB for the 10/22 Takedown. Been making it for 5 years or so now. It’s bad azz 👍
Brother Ozzie, I stand corrected on the above. Ruger does still make a can. I knew they did for a while. But I thought it ultimately went the way of the Buffalo. My apologies for my ignorance.

My almost 23-yo van had a little incident and lost a chunk of the undercarriage mud shield, not worth spending $$ to fix since it's long overdue for disposal but keeps going like Energizer rabbit...

You know what they say.  Every fish has a water tight anus.

.308 is one of my favorite rounds.  Isn't flashy, isn't the wunderkind of the day, won't get many articles in magazines, but it is just a fantastic all-around caliber.  It would be my pick for an AR10 without question.

Nice brother 👍 I’m playing with some of the suppressed guns today. Got out 2 Ruger pistols, the Ruger 10/22 Takedown, and the old standby bolt gun. You know you kind of forget just how much quieter a suppressed bolt gun is than an auto until you shoot them back to back.

I have witnessed several crackheads do that very thing many times back in my day.

Lol, yeah this isn't that fun.  I put a large coke from Chick-fil-A in my backseat cup holder.  Unfortunately a rock in the cup holder punctured the bottom of the foam cup.  Didn't realize it till I got home.

Absolutely love shooting my bolt 22 suppressed. Movie quiet, and that’s the only caliber that is!

Don’t know if you have ever tried one but a bolt action or single shot rifle in 300 Blackout/Whisper is right there with it. Absolutely stupid quiet 👍

Also online shopping for a smart watch for training for the ne upw year.
unhealthy / overweight as I have ever been and kind of would like to keep track of resting HR, improvement in sleep patterns and all the other details as I loose weight.

My goal is for 91 lbs lost and drop 3 pants sizes
Motivation is to be able to comfortably hike the Northwest Territories after stone sheep .. (Hunt is not going to happen this year for numerous reasons… need to save/ budget  for at least 5 years)

im going to need at least 2 years to get even close to the cardio I need ( just trying to be realistic)
This picture is going up on the basement gym wall

Get a sleep study done, I thought I was waking up a couple times a night. Turns out was waking up 70,000  times a year plus. It's from being over weight on my part.

Not sure the actual number because I thought I slept well during the study. It was around 26 times an hour during the study. Oxygen levels dropped way down.   Under 0.2 times an hour now, huge difference.

    @fishlessman

i did a year ago maybe a year and a half. Time has seemed to really run together the way I’ve been working .. but I quit breathing / apneic for 30-45 seconds a time 6 times an hour.
    Oddly enough mild.
It was right during Covid and between wearing a mask to work, wearing a mask for surgeries .. and wearing one to have to go to town … mentally I couldn’t deal; especially since Dr said I would probably loose weight and be ok and on the trial with the mask, they saw minimal improvement.

instead of loosing 20 lbs I’ve wound up gaining 27.
But this new job is supposed to give me a lot more scheduling freedom and time off.
Planning on getting back in gym and actually have a 3 mile ruck planned for tomorrow as well as getting back to my Jiu jitsu gym.

Going to swim laps Friday morning at my scuba club pool.

Already cut out the cokes and muffins for breakfast
Been protein shakes and jalapeño sausage

In the am after the ruck going to cook a venison fajita omelette and overnight oats

What did you end up changing to get that, fish?  Do you wear a mask these days?

Nasal cushion. It's not so much the waking up, it's the oxygen level drop that takes you out. Don't turn 57....skip that year
