I've done the salt, misting it with water helps during the smoke the big thing though is sealing the storage container so the smoke doesn't dissapate. Think bloody marysCanugghead said:Just for fun, first time cold smoking salt and pulled pork rub, no idea what to expect...

Thanks fish, wish I read your comment earlier. After hours I still hardly smell or taste the smoke on them. I suppose the mist helps the smoke to stick? Anyway, I just misted the salt, and the rub too for good measure. If it works out I'll chamber seal them in small pouches.fishlessman said:
