Christmas shopping for some kids we “adopted” of a tree at my work. Not to be a downer but it’s extremely sad seeing an 8,9,11 and 16 year old ask for clothes, jackets, hat and gloves as gifts. Just got back from spending the night with my mother in the ER. A UTI that had turned septic. 48 hours of IV antibiotics finally broke the fever. Doctor Reddy(more about that later) said that one more day of not coming in and it would have been "very difficult". Dr. Reddy was assigned that name at immigration when the people couldn't pronounce his name. At a guess he is from northern India or Pakistan, I'm pretty sure that I heard an Urdu accent in his voice. Sharp as a tack .
