Wife stuck a bowl out on the front porch last night and turned the light on. Rural area. No trick or treaters.

Wow, she was young 49.  That concept that turned into a really amazing blog on Salon, then the book was pretty cool.

Just got home from training with sim rounds. Only got shot in the arms today. I’ll take it as a win.

@Battleborn- Please share more details about sim  rounds and "live" shots in the course of training.  Reads like scenarios where the loyal opposition are fellow officers looking to take you out as you respond to the scenario.  But I am just spit balling here.  Thanks in advance.

That’s pretty much the just of it. We go through training where they go through real life scenarios that have happened over the past year, local and nationwide. Goal is to make sure officers react according to our policy and procedure.

The sun rounds are “fun.” Basically paintball rounds shot through modified Glock 17’s. Feels like getting snapped with a rubber band times about three. A good reminder, certainly better than the real thing.

This particular “injury” was from an “ambush” scenario that are becoming more and more common.

In this one no. But many rabbits and squirrels are still covered up with them. Got lucky with this one.

Maybe they're common now and I just haven't noticed them before, but they finally got rid of the backstop pole that too many players have piled into over the decades; cool.

Nope. Duke is just too poor to update their stadium to the 2000s…

Dang- behind the times as usual @lkapigian.  Just trimmed the beard up a little tonight.  Good reason to let it go the rest of the month!  Hopefully SWMBO will understand it's a special month!

Waiting for some BluesHog lump to clear up.  Rockwood (Slidenafil) has spoiled me.  This stuff is taking forever.

Maybe I should post some pics?

Walk the roof, use the leaf blower to clean out the gutters, blow out the downspouts (literal, not figurative) as rain/snow expected tomorrow night. Trees within spitting distance to the roof still have 70% of their leaves.  I used to get on a ladder and clean them out by hand 4ft at a time and then saw my neighbor with his leaf blower.  Slapped my forehead and now it’s 15 minutes instead of an hour+
    Love you bro!
  • @Legume

I was like you until I got a cordless leaf blower last year. Now I hop on the roof and spend literally five mins on the gutters. We get a lot of leaves (50+ bags annually), so the leaf blower has been great for this as well as just for cleaning off the patio before hosting or cleaning up around the edges of the property after a fresh lawn cut. Wouldn’t go without one again.

(P.S.: When needing to get my Eggs to temp in a hurry, the leaf blower has been an Eggceptional supercharger).

I have an old ryobi one for small stuff and I do use it on the egg if I need to do that, but I bought an EGO blower for the yard and that’s what I use in the gutters.  I love that thing, so powerful.
    Love you bro!
