This may be the greatest Albertsons meat display ever.

Damn son! Our Albertsons ain’t got nothing resembling wagyu, unless that’s someone’s name that works there!
This is in Jackson, WY.  Home of Snake River Farms.  My Albertsons definitely doesn't have this setup.

  • Well, would you look at the big brain on Prescott.

I’m not really an OSU fan, tbh.  But as a fan of college football, I do appreciate that Michigan was able to rise up and take one from them.  Competition is good. Chronic, systemic cheating is not.

    Ta.

That looks a lot like your forum pic right now.  I’m not sure I want to know what happens to chihuahuas in you’re house.

    I hate when that happens.

Not sure if this posted or not. It's in my drafts.  To lazy to look back.

Looks like the June 9th thread has been nuked-fun while it lasted.

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

There is a mountain bluebird couple that have nested in a tree in my boulevard the last two summers; this summer, because our wind shear storm split that tree in half, they built their nest in a large juniper right outside my living room window.  I can't see the nest, but I see Ma & Pa coming and going.

The boulevard tree was a bit "open", and the magpies ate the chicks the first two years.  This year, because the juniper is denser, the magpies haven't  found them, and the last week or so I can hear the chicks squawking when a parent comes home with a worm or two.

Well, this morning, they fledged!  I heard a tapping on the smoked window next to my front door, and two of them were looking in, and I hear them all around the front junipers and whatever that other plant is called.  Kinda neat that they survived; damn magpies can call Doordash or something this time.

I'll have to power-wash the brickwork later this summer, but that's no biggie.
Some sparrows have nested  in one of Dad's blueberry bushes for 4 years now. We go by picking the berries and the chicks squawk and hold their pie holes wide open. Last year they decided to learn to fly while we were picking. It took one of them a few tries.

Bet the parents were having a cow at that time!

Yes they were either saying bad things about us or cheering on the chicks. 🤷🏼 I don’t speak Sparrow.

I just finished cleaning up, priming, and painting certain areas of the smoker before flipping. It ran earlier without issue and now the fan is dead. Go figure. What pile of sheet.

Funny thing, we just met them this past week.  They had a horse we were interested in.  Drove up just to see the horse and ended up spending a fair bit of time with them.  Fast friends.  Really enjoyed meeting them.

Trying my hand at fermenting some cukes
Very interested to hear how these come out.  I just finished bottling up my third batch of refrigerator pickles (which is pickling, not fermenting) and have only tentatively dipped my toe into fermenting (three half-pints of tomato salsa which, after a week, tasted like salty tomato salsa).
