It was a very fun day.  Learned some more about offsets over the weekend as I struggled with mine on Saturday and had a much easier time with the one in the pics - with the exception of putting some ribs too close to the firebox and overcooking them on the bottom.  That actually worked perfectly for the chicken thighs.  

Solid work.....chicken is always a hit, as well as mac and cheese for sure....of all the stuff we throw down the biggest request is the mac and cheese....I hate making it, I don't it it but, oh well 

My wife has a few different mac and cheese recipes, one of which is really quick to make and involves boiling the pasta directly in the milk the recipe uses. If you don’t like making it, this might be a good option to reduce your pain. Let me know if you’d like a link and I can ask her.

HVAC help...

A couple months ago they changed the cap on our upstairs unit, charged it and it's been working great. 

Yesterday I noticed the same unit was making a humming sound (outside) and the fan inside the housing wasn't spinning. Air is blowing out of the vents inside the house, but it's not cold. 

Anything I can check or do myself while I'm waiting on a service?

Feel the big and small pipes where they run into the outside unit.  If the small one one is really hot and the whole unit is hot, you probably have a bad start/run capacitor on the condenser unit.  You can buy/install this for about $20.

Check the breaker first , the contactor voltage comes from the indoor unit, could be  a tripped breaker or a bad dual run capacitor ....could be a burnt wire ,but id start with the breaker

I had a similar situation, if you can reach into the fan with a stick and give it a whack, and it comes to life you have a bad capacitor.
