Maybe they should research the use of video technology?

    Oh.
But most of the times he thoroughly deserves it.  That was a very weak booking.
So, I try to be a centrist in most things, but I find myself out on one end of the bell curve where this stuff is concerned.  My take is that it doesn't take much contact to trip someone who is running at full speed while focusing on a ball and the defenders in front of them.  A little bump to an ankle can be enough.  On that particular play, I don't know many/any offensive players who would give up their chance to score past the keeper in the hope that a dive will get the ref to call a foul - so it doesn't make sense for the offensive player to take a dive.  And technically, if Luiz fouls him as the last defender, it can/should be a red card - and definitely a penalty for any foul in the box.

As I said, I know the majority see it differently...
Footy players are a bunch of sissies.  Flop artists at best.  Rugby, Buzkashi, and Russian slapping.  Those are real men sports.

    Definitely a soft one.

The evolution has been choices made by the attacking player who recognises their likelihood of a goal dwindling to instead 'seek' the foul.
Strong example is the foolhardy dribble in to the box reprieved by pulling one out that Greg Louganis would be proud of.
The muddle factor used to be reputations and confirmation bias. VAR has flattened that out a bit.

I saw a tiny bit of Buzkashi while I was in Afghanistan.  Albeit from a distance and behind armour.  It was the clouds of dust that drew my attention but it was quite a scene.  If I remember the locals with us said it was more of a trainman event,  so no goat - but still looked impressive.

Also to add to your list,  cheese rolling.  Ewe Chube it.

If you buy them from Walmart, you just put the old ones in the package, tape it, and return them.  At least that seems standard practice based on the last time I went to buy bulbs.  Half the ones on the rack where old ones repackaged and the other half where missing 1 bulb.

Some folks are just sick. At Costco I noticed they no longer leave saffron on the shelf. Instead, they display empty containers on the floor like electronics, you get the goods after paying  :D

I used the ultras for a long time. Dont think i ever got 2 yrs out of one. Running some leds now that are cheaper than the ultras and they are much brighter and plug and play just like those.

@Lit car is 9 yo, IIRC this is the second time replacing low beams, high beams still original. Thought about but too lazy to research LED, don't want to risk LED that don't meet cop's 'approval', like tinted glass, in case I get pulled over. But again, perhaps my fear is groundless since LED has come a long way and more mainstream now  :)

Yep, for me to get interested in futbol, either the field needs to be much smaller or the goals need to be much bigger.  Too much jogging up and down the field without much going on.

Yeah, @JethroVA, I've always maintained that for most Americans to get into the sport, the goals would need to be about 50% bigger - so that the number of goals in a futbol game would start to approximate the number of scores in a US football game.

We are at $600k for my wife’s recent “event”. Bit not all bills are in yet.

Thankfully we have only had to pay about $24k a year for health insurance for the past fifteen years.

So basically only paid $300k. Relative bargain!
