Gotta love it when you live in a neighborhood with an HOA and yet someone still manages to park their bass boat in their front yard for going on 4 days now.

What exactly am I paying HOA dues for again??? SMH   oh well its been reported to the city, police, and HOA. Enjoy your tickets jackarse...

Serious question. I have no idea what a HOA is. But what is wrong with parking a boat in the yard? I am not implying anything. Just asking about the boat.

I had no idea that there are places you can buy a house on the water but can’t park your boat on your own property. Kind of an oxymoron if you will.

I’m pissed off because I pay $1,000 a year so I don’t have to see a friggin bass boat in someone’s front yard. If someone wants to park their boat in their front yard go move to the country not a residential neighborhood in town. I both despise and appreciate HOAs. They keep this kinda crap in check but I hate the idea that in order to put a different front door on my house I gotta get approval. To me there is a big difference between those two scenarios.

Why is that a problem?  Why is the orange fencing fine?  What about the construction debris in front of the column, looks like bricks?
The orange fencing is to keep the construction mess going on between properties in check and they do a crap job of that also.

Yes, this is it. I have to get approval to plant a tree in my own yard but this guy can park his friggin bass boat and nothing happens? That’s my issue. Enough ranting I don’t want to sink the thread.

Ya I’m the DUDE that wants the people that signed the same HOA documents as me to abide by them. It’s a city ordinance violation as well as an HOA violation to park your boat anywhere in front of your house for longer than 24hrs where I live. It’s been 4 days. I’m well within my right to do what I did and don’t have any problem with someone complaining about me if I did something wrong. But I wouldn’t because I’m not a jerk.

Just a heads up fellows. Home Depot has a sale on the Echo cs400 saw. 299 bucks. That is a great price on a great little saw if anyone is looking for a good small saw.

Love it! Where are the speakers for this pop-up drive in, or do you need to set your car-/radio to a specific station?

No emissions in New Orleans, different in Baton Rouge (AKA "Red Stick").  They verify insurance.  It's pretty much a money maker, they obviously don't care that much about the quality of the inspection around me.  My insurance agent refuses to get any of his cars inspected, ever.  "Have you ever received a ticket" I ask...."nope."
The best part is that the $10 or $20 sticker falls off inside of 60 days. Half the vehicles driving around Lafayette have them just laying on the dash all curled up
Not here. We only have one sticker now. You have to get inspected to get your registration sticker. You don’t have that, you are going to get pulled over.

Before we went to one sticker, the inspection sticker was always just a DUI/pull over the sh!tty car and see what we find magnet.

Luckily I do not have an HOA anymore, however, in the last one I was in, my buddies got so tired of all the whiny **** they all ran and took over the board.  We used to read the angry letters about trash cans out for 1 hr too long, mowing 10 minutes after dusk, leaves in the yard for more than 3 days, front door decorations not meeting code, etc at weekend bonfires.  Drinking, laughing, and burning angry letters.  Good times.  The ranty letters were hilarious and plain insane!

You do not realize how petty and bonkers people are until you serve on an HOA board.
