Teaching a baby how to just stand tied up.  She is digging a hole and trying to destroy my trailer.  We are at a barrel race, but she gets hauled everywhere and learning how to behave in public.

    That is a Beautiful horse!
Thank you!  She is 3 and we lucked out with her.  She will be the first horse my daughter trains.

Beef short ribs, RW and sugar maple chunks, spicy DP, dry brined overnight in fridge with only salt.  Angie added collard greens w/garlic, cooked on stovetop in EVO.  Forgot to do a plated pic.

Now I want some short ribs. They look amazing.

Fixed a Manhattan to enjoy while organizing/packing for a camping roadtrip.
That sounds like fun. Where ya headed?
Thanks.  The plan is CO, UT, and WY; but we have some contingencies in mind should something close or flare up.  We’ve already redesigned a couple of times, and are foregoing the park my daughter really wanted to visit (Glacier), but we’re looking forward to it.

Is Rocky Mountain National Park open?  I could spend an entire week just driving through that place.

That sounds awesome. I'm jealous! I'd have to revolt though because I lived on the eastern entrance to Glacier (St. Mary's) for a couple summers and think it's the most beautiful place in the lower 48. I've never had the opportunity to see much of Utah and plan to in the near future. I'd really like to drag my FJ out there for off-roading.
I fully expect lots of pics!!

It is, a friend was there for his birthday a couple of weeks ago, but we’re heading to the SW part of the state, Black Canyon/Curecanti/Ouray area.

Oh cool.  That area of the country really is absolutely gorgeous.  There’s so many places I’ve literally just pulled the car over and taken my camera out to take pictures.

Thanks!  The eastern entrance is actually closed all season, at the request of the Blackfeet nation.  When we redesigned, we just went ahead and reserved a cabin in Apgar for next summer, so we’ll get to Glacier then!

We went through some of southern UT last year, Grand Staircase-Escalante and Zion and it was gorgeous.  Planning on Arches and Canyonlands this trip.

Definitely.  We hit Mesa Verde on a road trip a few years ago, and the way in and out was just like that.  Had to keep the camera out and with whomever was in the front seat.

Walkerswood jerk chicken juggling potatoes on Traeger
Each leg quarter had a 50% 'tail' attached, I chopped them off and made myself a half a** jerk chicken kebab

Used Walkerswood on pork tenderloin last night - love that stuff!

Anyone ever make bacon gravy?  Lots of bits left in the frying pan this morning, so I thought I’d give it a try - not bad!  Eggs were a little over-done...

If I've got bacon fat in the pan, my bread gets fried in it.

I have used it on pork too, have to use it sparingly though. Love the stuff so much I went crazy and bought a 4.2 Kg tub at Costco Business Centre 😀

Cancelled Glastonbury would be on this weekend, so lots of replays on the BBC plus tons available on iPlayer. So far we've done full sets from Beyonce, Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, Stormzy, Sleaford Mods and currently LCD Sound System. Going to fit Idles in later, not sure what else yet.

Foo Fighters are so good in concert.
Their Glasto set was really good.

We saw them a couple of years ago at Austin City Limits when Dave had the broken leg and sat in the throne. They brought up Gary Clark Jr to shred for the set. It was greatness. He was playing the sweet red guitar Dave gave him on The Sonic Highways Documentary they shot. Fun show.

I make sausage for my kids almost every weekend and every so often I make sausage gravy with biscuits to go with. My grandfather was literally born in a barn in Oklahoma so he passed on his love of B&G to our family. My mom used to make it for Sunday dinners occasionally when I was growing up.
