I wasn't expecting it but found myself emotional.....kinda like the first Yankees game after 9/11. Not that we're out of the weeds by a longshot but moving that direction. There's never been such a singular minded goal for medical science and that's incredible to watch.

Never had morels or even seen one except on this forum. Can someone explain what is so great about them?  How do you prepare them?

They are a very "meaty" mushroom.  The most common way is to batter and fry. However, there are a lot of French recipes that use them. Great in pasta dishes.

I could not watch the virtual triple crown of horse racing showdown as it unfolded but did succumb to catching it just now.  If even a casual fan of the Kentucky Derby and horse racing it was solid entertainment.  Linked here:

I’ll add that to me morels mean spring. After being stuck inside all winter, with the first signs of spring we get together with very close friends and family (never give up the location of your mushroom woods) and spend hours in the woods foraging for mushrooms.

Watching Secretariat do it one more time. Greatest race horse that ever lived.
It's a shame the racing is so different as to make comparisons difficult, but you could consider Nijinsky or Shergar on the flat or Desert Orchid over the jumps. Desert Orchid gets my vote, but then I've never seen US horse racing.

I’ll agree with this, we have a 5 ft fence around our backyard and they don’t even need a running start to clear it.
