Years ago all the TV sitcoms had "laugh tracks"; think some of the late-night comedy guys should look into that.

Now making a brine for Springsgiving. Doing it tomorrow instead of Sunday because all days are made up now.

Nice. Love me a chili dog.

Never heard of “Springsgiving.” What is the significance as it relates to “Thanksgiving?”

None, other than the family wanted a Thanksgiving type meal on Easter.

Forgive the mush sitting inside me noggin. Must be too much time in quarantine. When I read your response, I mistakenly believed that this weekend was in fact Thanksgiving and that you had just re-titled it. I get it now. Two different holidays. 😊

It feels like it should be Thanksgiving already. This last month has been a long year!

Would Thankster be apropos? We're going the same route. I'm spatchcocking a turkey that one of my girls won in the schools mile "turkey trot" race last fall.

Over the past 13 years I've been recording my intranetz Usernames and Passwords on typewritten recipe cards (typewriters/recipe cards, ask your folks you damn kids), eventually degrading into handwritten recipe cards (apparently done in fading ink) and finally onto engineering paper; six "documents" in all.

Today, I fired up my Mac's "Numbers" program, for the very first time, to transfer all this info onto a single spreadsheet.  Most functions work like they did in Excel, which is cake for me, being a guv'mint engineer for 36 years.  But many other functions, not.  After about two hours of peering, clicking, inputting, cursing, and a few flickering light bulbs, I got a two-page printout of all the info.  Tomorrow, I'll double-check all the info (lots of the websites, hardware items, and at least one motorcycle, I don't think I have/use anymore).  Do a final printout and get it laminated (once I can go back to OfficeMax, and if they're still in business).  Then find a clever but accessible slot somewhere to hide it.

One quick question to those of you who are bilingual (Mac OS + Windoze):  In Excel, you could hit Cmd/Shift/Y to repeat the previous function (in this case, adding a row within the spreadsheet, I used it often).  What/Is there a Mac equivalent?  I tried many combos with a "Y", and mostly got the Mac "boop" sound, which means "Hah?"  That function would've been very helpful today...  Thanks in advance.

Probably not worth it's own OT thread but if any of you are old enough to remember when the US lost 4 H bombs on Jan 17, 1966. I have been reading fascinating documentation from the US Navy about the search and recovery operation. https://ussalbany.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/USS-Albany-CG-10-H-Bomb-Recovery.pdf.  I served on that ship about 3 years after these events.
