Hitting these little pvc Birdieballs in my yard.  Can make a full swing and they only go 30-40 yards. Don’t have to go to the driving range now!

Hectic times in the PL; the FA Cup rumbles along in the background, there’s a transfer window media feeding frenzy going on & now we have a double game week coming up - so strap in lads.

    Saturday

lunchtime : in-form Watford host the lost lustre of Jose’s Spurs, shorn of Harry Kane.  Sadly the Hornets could win this and continue their delusions of grandeur.  2-1 despite Spurs parking the bus.

    Proper kick offs;

Arsenal welcome Sheff U and won’t fancy it much.  Arteta has given the Gunners a bit of Pep glitter but the suspension of Aubameyang and persisting innate frailties suggest the Blades could see this one out.  Away win less likely than draw. 1-1.

Brighton v Aston Villa - come on Villa do the decent thing and snatch an away win to draw the dirty Seagulls in to the relegation mire.   Going to be close, have to go 1-1 as any result is possible.

City v Palace - whilst we were the only team to take any points from City last year at their ground, not likely this time out.  2-0 to the resurgent blues.

Norwich v Bournemouth - the world is caving in for the Cherries.  In the middle of a soft run of games but have shipped 9 goals and lost the last three.  Norwich will be desperate for points and have Pukki back.  I reckon they’ll do it. 1-0.

Southampton v Wolves - should be a fun match.  Saints are on fire, Ings can’t miss in front of goal right now and Wolves are all energy and flair.  2-2 honours even and no-one disappointed.

West Ham v Everton, or the Moyes derby as no-one calls it. Could be a dreadful awful miserable game. In fact it will be.  0-0.

Tea-time - Newcastle v Chelsea,  the blues are good on the road but Toon have key players coming back from injury.  I think Chels’ will do it but its goals ahoy; 2-3 away win.

Sunday lunchtime;  Faded glory Burnley host recent slumpers Leicester  - if played 6 weeks ago an easy away win, but that’s not the case now.  Dyche’s boys need to get back in to gear and I can see this being close-run.  One goal either way, I’ll say Vardy in the 88th minute so 0-1 for the Foxes.

Tea-time, the big one this week; Liverpool v Utd - despite Ole’s mercurial manner for against the odds results, they’ll get proper humped here.   The Reds are just too god and Jurgen will want a big show.  Plus they have 2 games next week - so a win here is key to set the momentum.  3-1 Liverpool.

Finally, Monday evening - the improving Stoke travel to local rivals and in form West Brom,  a win seems unlikely but they could snatch a point,  I hope they do. 1-1.

Right, Day 2 of the Test Match is underway - so I need to buckle in for 7 hours of solid cricket.

Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay
  • Our oldest’s birthday and she wanted Hickory Park, a local barbecue place that has good ice cream and they’ll sing for your birthday.    This is a massive local place that cranks through a ton of people and food. It’s good food at an affordable price and the bbq is ok. They have a really wide variety of things on the menu and I always get the garbage burger and the coffee mallow sundae.

    Garbage burger:
    1/4 lb burger
    bacon
    ham
    mushrooms
    sauer kraut
    grilled onions
    cheese
    pickles
    onion bun

Actually Sterling IL. It’s about an hour east of QC. Our youngest is in her last semester at ISU. We have never been cuz there’s always a line waiting outside. Our daughter and friends have gone and echoed your comments. Nice area over there. I
really dig what's going on in Ankeny and
Des Moines. She’s moving to the QC with Deere upon graduation but she really likes it over in Ankeny where she works now. We shall see. Two year rotation in QC first. Do you work at the university?

It was rated the #1 new brewery in the US last year. Lots of good choices. This one was just released a couple weeks back but it’s rated the #1 beer made in Georgia.

I wonder the same about the Navy and their blue cami. I live close to a shipyard and an Air Force vase. Except for a few specialist units , neither need camo.
