JFC, you poor bastards!  Does camelcamelcamel.com work for you ?
Yeah, we tend to get royally screwed. Our prices go up when the USD gains, but conversely, never fall when the CAD makes some gains - even when they’re big. Oh well, at least we’re Trump-free, which is worth the price of admission. 😉
But if you had a “Trump” you too could have a stock market (Dow-28868 today) at record levels, and the booming economy that accompanies it. We are really getting spoiled here in the US.

This is unfortunately misleading and is not comparing apples to apples.

Regardless, key economic indicators continue to remain incredibly strong and the last 11 years in the stock market have been record setting (in the positive)!  Who cares about politics when we've got that👍

Really, how so?  It's growth.  If you put a dollar in the DOW that's what it's worth as a function of days.  I think you mean total market value where it that obviously grows with time, the total dollar increase is higher in subsequent administration, possibly with the exception of Bush, but that's not in this window.

    1.  Who flagged this!  I would assume flagging items is for offensive things?

    2.  Obama presided over the recovery from the Great Recession.  Through out history, the years immediately following a correction, downturn, recession etc, tend to be very good years.  Meaning when things turn around for the better, the positive gains experienced typically occur during the early stages of that recovery.
Quite simply, Obama benefitted from the steep recovery.  Trump as he entered office had a completely different economic backdrop.  Not long into his administration we set the record for the longest bull market in history.  Comparing that to what Obama had as he came into office, they are wildly different starting points.  That's my point.  You can't compare them because of the wildly different economies (and the corresponding benefits and headwinds) they came into office with.

Anyone who wants to Flag, OT or Disagree with a post should come out from behind the internet curtain and post that it was them.
But in the grand scheme of the forum, don't sweat it.  FWIW-

You and @JohnInCarolina both.  Not sure why they took away the transparency on the negative flags but it sure gave some folks internet muscles when they did.
I know who it is, same people that flagged me constantly before we couldn't see it.  Plus probably a couple more that got "brave" with the anonymity.

Well I'm trying to cook up a late night lasagna to freeze for leftovers for the coming weeks while its pouring rain AND trying to figure out if it would make sense to get another egg for smaller cooks like the burgers I just made.

    Happy Friday y'all

Yes it does actually. I have an XL we use mostly for dinner parties, and I bought a Minimax to take in the road.

The minimax is a huge help to the XL and also for when it is just My Beautiful Wife and I, for our meals when the children are away at college or wherever.

Great combo, seems to fill all the holes.

    My next is a medium.

A small or MM is what I'm thinking about.  For those of y'all who have 2 eggs, do the smaller eggs end up saving lump on the smaller cooks?

I think the MRS will get on board with it.  But it seems a little crazy that I might try to justify 2 eggs to her within 12mos haha

There’s something to be said for filling all the holes.

Good call on the MGBE. I’ve owned a med, large and MiniMax and I found the med to be the best performer by far.

Yes, there is a lump savings with smaller cooks. I'm not sure if it's worth the cost of a new egg just because of the savings in lump alone. If it helps you sell it to your wife than go for it. Smaller eggs also reach temps quicker for week night cooks. They're also a little more portable but still not necessarily fun to lug around. (Yes, even a Mini egg. I much prefer a Weber Jumbo Joe for cooks when needing to be portable. Worrying about ceramic cracking when traveling isn't the most fun)

With all that said, my Small BGE is my favorite egg. Functions like its bigger siblings and nice for smaller weeknight cooks.

Thank you for the insight!  I'm thinking burgers, reverse searing steaks, maybe trying to spatchcock a 4lb chicken, etc are the types of cooks that I'll be targeting.  Are these types of cooks in the wheel house of the small or MM?

I've done all of these on my large, but sometimes the large is absolutely overkill

I'm following this one as I suspect it will be a great outcome.  However, sacrificing brisket is a hurdle I am not quite ready to clear... B)
