@saluki2007 , here is the base recipe, although I adjusted the seasonings, used skinless boneless chicken breasts, and added extra half and half and corn starch.https://damndelicious.net/2015/10/15/slow-cooker-chicken-and-corn-chowder/
Pretty good and you can doctor it up however you like. -

Desperate to disprove all medical science and debunk the multi-millions of pounds spent on physiology research, the Premier League swings back in to gear on NYD. 4 games in 10 days? Not a problem, because the FA cup starts on the weekend and so the ‘Premier League’ can deny all knowledge of football and pretend that the players are all on holiday for two weeks.
While I like a bit of football, cramming so many games in to such a short space only serves to gain richer teams with deeper squads and causes travel misery for travelling fans. Never mind - as long as the TV rights holder in Kuala Lumpur gets to see it at a convenient hour, then all is fine.
Thats enough Karl Marx, on with the business;
1230:
Brighton v Chelsea : The hosts beat a hapless Bournemouth last time out while Super Frank’s blues came form behind to beat Arsenal. I think the visitors have the extra bounce about them to see this home. 1-2 and the points go back to west London.
Burnley v Aston Villa : Dyche’s men have lost their way a bit and Villa will be targeting this for points, as they really need them. Few goals here. 0-0 has been rare this term but this could be one of them. Points shared, then.
1500:
Newcastle v Leicester : The foxes aren’t contenders any more, and were perhaps deluded to think it. The Toon are an odd bunch this season. I assume Vardy is back for Leicester and that’ll tip it their way. Two nil away win,
Southampton v Spurs : There will be goals. Spurs are scoring freely but are uncharacteristically (for Jose) leaky at the back. Quality counts in the end. 1-2 for the Spurs. NB : Steer clear of this match if you have any affection for that popular standard ‘When the saints go marching in” - both sets of fans will caterwaul it relentlessly throughout.
Watford v Wolves : This will be fun. The hosts, sadly, have found form under Mr Scary or Nigel Pearson when he masquerades. in human form. Very peculiar chap he seems to be. Wolves though are rampant and mugged Man City good & proper. I am hoping for an away win, there will be either 3 or 5 goals. Lets go 3-2.
In the Championship, Stoke are out of bottom three on goal difference but are away to Huddersfield (yes thats an actual place) and then Brentford after that. Big couple of games - even two draws will make a big statement. I am saying 1-1.
1730:
Man City v Everton : The Ferguson / Ancelotti matrix has reaped dividends for the Toffees. This is a bigger test. City are still wobbly, especially at the back, but should have enough to edge this. 2-1.
Norwich v Palace : The hosts are in free-fall and normally the Eagles are happy to oblige struggling teams with an easy win. But a win for Palace take them to the giddy heights of 30 points, normally arrived at about 3 games before the end of the season in a mad scramble to stay up. Roy’s record against weaker teams is generally good. Whether his injury ravaged team can score enough will dictate draw or win. Lacklustre 1-1.
West Ham v Bournemouth : Dead man walking Pellegrini was put out of his misery this week and the dourest man in football, David Moyes, is back at the helm. Meh. Game has all the hallmarks of an abomination - two tired and badly performing teams meet to go through the motions. A goal might happen. 0-0 feels probable.
2000:
Arsenal v Man Utd : Arteta has brought a spring to the Gunners step, but they did an Arsenal last time out by capitulating to lose 2-1. More goals this time too. Utd could equally win 4-0 as lose 2-0, or stalemate at 1-1. Naturally I am going for 2-2, on that basis.
2nd Jan
Liverpool v Sheff Utd : likely a fun encounter. No one saw the Blades coming but they have sustained in the top half of the table. Liverpool will win, obviously, but despite the fixture congestion this could be an attractive match. The Reds have 4 clean sheets behind them now which will mute the result. 2-0 Liverpool, goals at each end of the match and the Blades pushing them hard.

When we took our gondola ride, my wife asked and asked our gondolier to sing. He refused. She begged. Nope. She turned to me and asked If I would sing something, because she said it would be romantic. I started singing “Mary had a little lamb... little lamb...” at which point the captain stopped rowing Said/yelled “Hey! “ and when I turned around to look at him, he made a cutting action across his neck.I stopped singing and he started rowing again.I do not recall any other words being said by anyone on the rest of the ride.True story.--------------------------------------------------

Picnic shoulder rubbed with Adobo, pepper, granulated garlic, and onion powder. I always score the skin and season it. When the skin is done right it’s nice and crisp with a layer of fat behind it. You can pick the squares off and eat them it’s similar to bacon with a little more crunch. This is going overnight for tomorrow’s Puerto Rican themed cook.
