Day two cleaning out attics.  Waited a little too long to get started today and it’s already about 187F, give or take.

Thankfully, it’s bulk item pick up from the city this week so about 75% of what I put at the curb is picked up by someone surfing the neighborhood within a couple of hours.

Gotta ask.... every time I make a brisket, I’m doing it for about eight people max. When you cook brisket, are you always doing it for a crowd? If not, how are you treating the leftovers?

@GrateEggspectations This one was for seven people.  But most of the time, it's for four-six and I treat the leftovers very well.  I slice it like hot off FTC, spritz with some water and nuke til hot, then inhale and will use the last of it in omelets.  No multi-step processes for the remains-just remoisturize (a word??), heat and savor.  FWIW-

Visited a distillery while on vacation in Virginia a couple weeks ago and got a whiskey aging kit. Soaked the barrel with water for a few hours and no leaks. I'm going to add the mash and start the process.

Throwing a butt on and find out that my BGE (Maverick) remote thermometer that I got for a gift took a sh!t. Got a good 5 years out of it. Guess it is time to shop for a new thermometer.

One of the best things I did, pretty easy process sometimes the appointments for interviews get booked out.  Time saved in customs and tsa lines is worth it.

Sorry about that!  I had something similar 2 years ago.  I still cannot enjoy a fart.
