Got a new puppy....My 12 year old hound is taking to him nicely I think.  It took a little while.

"Hound"?  That looks suspiciously like a Herding dog, the mighty Pembroke Welsh Corgi ('cept for the tail, but they sometimes get to keep them).  What breed is your cute new guy?

I'm marking my calendar (and you should too): I was wrong.

    https://www.sltrib.com/news/2019/06/20/new-million-animals-only/

A year or two ago utard announced a $5M "wildlife bridge" across a 6-lane highway up near Park City, along with 3.5 miles of tall fencing, to help protect wandering animals and reduce (sometimes human-fatal) wildlife accidents on the Interstate.
I pretty much knew this wouldn't work; happily, I was wrong.  The folks behind the project expected deer, and moose (???) to eventually get used to it, but even they were surprised that bobcats, cougars, and even marmots started using it right away (see the video in the above link).  This is cool!
Was it worth $5M?  Hell, I dunno.  But the fact that it's working, makes me happy.

Maybe a confusing perspective but they’re both Basset Hounds.  My old man Bocephus is 12 years old and little guy Waylon is 3 1/2 months.

Yeah, it was the perspective; legs looked short and couldn't really see the ears.

Obviously, we need a couple more pics!   :)

At a brewery in Amarillo.  Gonna hit the road at 5am for two days of diving to get to Indiana. I hope the 2 months of rain stops as we head north.

Not sure my route yet. I've come to grow fond of really smooth asphalt with this rig. I'd drive an extra 2 hours for guaranteed smooth asphalt. Some of our US highways are brutal!

Expansion joints are my nemesis. I have an 8 position bike rack on the back of the fifth wheel.  It's like a paint mixer back there!

Sometimes you just want the comfort food you grew up on.  According to my wife " I did good".   Country fired steak with cream potatoes , fresh early green beans and tomatoes with milk gravy, homemade cathead biscuits with butter and honey.  I'll have biscuits and gravy for Saturday morning breakfast.

My kind of meal right there.

Another round of wing dust trials and threw a kielbasa on the MM just as a vehicle for sauce tasting. Cherry and peach habanero sauces. Both are delicious but I would pick the cherry personally.
