    Early Fathers Day gift as we are travelling through France tomorrow;

    Will use it on the chimenea too.

    And a local treat for the Egg when I am back : 'vine' wood, which I believe burns hot?

    I can't say I'm not disappointed that we haven't seen a lump of horse on that gasser.

    Inevitably the only sighting comes just too late. Dining out and in the road tomorrow.   No chance to sneak it past SWMBO.
    Potential return mooted for Sept, stand-by.

    Where are you located? I’m in the Ottawa area and see this product regularly.

    Wotcha cookin'?  I tried Alton Brown's shishkebab setup with just two rows of fireplace bricks; this is a whole 'nuther level!
    A BGE forum egger that goes by RAH is cooking 312 turkeys for 2,500 people this afternoon.

    The garage has become a dumping ground from the mini-barn due to preparation for the move. Time to start sorting and packing this up.

    @Great_EGGspectations

    South East England,  presently 'en vacances en Dordogne'.  Very much frowned upon in UK (well, the bit I'm from - albeit I suspect it turns up in most burgers).

    Given greater attitude from SWMBO at the shops I could have snaffled the triumvirate of French-ness; frogs legs, snails and horse.   I would then be just a striped jumper, string of garlic around my neck and a half-burnt Gauloises on my bottom lip away from being Monsieur CPFC1905.
    Other girls may try to take me away
    But you know, it's by your side I will stay

    If you look closely at that packaging, you will see it is from Quebec, Canada. I have seen the exact same in local grocery stores. Surprised to see it so far from home. I have never purchased it nor have I ever witnessed anyone else doing so. That being said, I have never really understood the rationale for opposition to eating horse meat.

    Don’t give up brother. You will have good weeks and bad weeks. Just focus on the task at hand and it will come off. I was able to drop 35 pounds in one month. It took me over a year to drop an additional 30 pounds. 2 years ago I was 264 with with a 47” waist.  Today I’m 175 with a 33” waist. Also remember if you are lifting heavy and building muscle mass that muscle weighs more than fat👍

    You may already know all this, but as someone who has just broken some barriers with respect to weight management, I’ll say that it all starts with mindfulness. Once you start to understand what you are consuming, you can modify your behaviour accordingly and see results quite rapidly. Calories in and calories out is what it’s all about. It’s much easier to lose weight by dieting than by trying to compensate for a caloric surplus with exercise.

    On weight, remember that you can actually drastically improve body composition (proportion of muscle to fat) while maintaining a consistent body weight (or even while gaining weight), so weight alone is not a great indicator of progress in achieving fitness. For more accurate tracking of your progress, you can use BMI (not a great indicator alone) in conjunction with your waist circumference. Smart scales are a good and easy way to measure relative progress, but I don’t trust their accuracy in assessing composition.

    C'mon, let's be honest. We'd rather barbecue on Father's day than go to a restaurant where they charge us ridiculous prices for drinks.
    Ever heard of a place called Hooters?
    I have heard of that place. I have never been to that place, and have no desire to go there.
    Was joking. There would be a certain level of inappropriateness in going to Hooters with the fam on fathers’ Day. That being said, I will admit to having been to Hooters once. Was in Myrtle Beach with my then girlfriend, now wife, and we decided to sit on their patio after having spotted a sign for cheap pitchers. I knew then that she was a keeper.

    New bike?
    @GrateEggspectations You must not live in Florida or Alabama....

    @Eoin Actually it's an old bike for me that I traded for my center console fishing boat with a friend.   He borrowed my truck for a few days and left the bike here.  Loved that bike, hated to trade but love the boat better.

    No pic's (it was a fast cook) but I did some of @johnnyp chicken parm balls from NCBB  for a baby shower.  They have become a neighborhood hit for sure!
