Just finished scrolling thru "The Act of War" thread. Dang- there are some serious red vs green campers here. This certainly is not the first or likely the last battle to be waged. For me it would depend on the brand of lump, quantity added and where in the cook the protein is at the time. In general I wouldn't wait but the above are worthy of consideration.Next time fill to just below the top of the fire ring and you should not need a refueling stop for the duration. BTW- going from the top of the fire box to the top of the ring about doubles your available lump for the cook. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Thanks Lou - I'm about 7 hours into a pork shoulder on my small BGE. Using Rockwood, but lots of small pieces. PSA- don't know the territory covered by Lucky Grocery stores but here they have hatch chiles for $0.99 /lb thru the weekend. Grabbed some "hot" earlier today.
