2 weeks post-total hip replacement (THR) surgery.  Walking without pain or cane!  The anterior approach method rocks!  If you need THR, find an ortho that does anterior.  Some old timers haven't changed their ways and still do only posterior which involves cutting through glutes and other painful stuff.  Anterior approach spreads apart (stretches) the front thigh muscles - does not cut large muscles.  Ortho added 1/2 inch to my bad leg to match length of the other.  Wish I had asked him to address my middle leg as well.

Not sure what a "pounder" is, but I remember one club in Brookings, SD (home of the SDSU Jackrabbits, who played a game in this year's Sweet 16!) that had 10-cent drafts on Fridays (in the translucent plastic cups, smaller than a red cup but bigger than a shot glass).  I had a good time, can't remember for sure though.

It was two 16-ounce PBR cans for $3. You would buy two and the bartender would hold the second one back to stay cold until you finished the first. A coworker and I would go most fridays and take a cab home.

@NPHuskerFL if you like vietnamese food there is a really good place about half a mile from pensacola ale house. Its called golden dragon. Get the banh mi. Its the vietnamese place on the left (there are 2). Wife and I ate there several times a week. I had almost 300 yelp check ins in 3 years

This is my first real cook with my new Smokeware cap. My fifth or so on the PSWOO. I've had my Egg for almost a year. I've burnt over 1000 pounds of lump cooking on it three to seven nights per week. I never get tired of a spatchcocked bird. This is my style; skin freed, legs turned and tucked. This one is basted in butter and coated in DP FireWalker. No raw wood this time. Just Rockwood.

And? What are your thoughts on the smokeware?
It's really cool. I like it. I don't think a 400 degree raised direct cook is a real test, however, as it is by far my easiest cook. I'm going to play with it this weekend without food to see where its natural temps lie. Wide open, half, triangle, square, etc. Probably a pork butt Sunday for the week. I've never been able to hold consistently below 250 with the daisy wheel so if it works well, perhaps it will make up for my lack of skill there. I think it's a winner so far!

Operation Find the Cat was a success. She came back. Probably full kitten seeds, seeing as she was going to go get fixed next week. Oh well, we can deal with that if it comes.
    Great news!  Been there.

The key to this is go to bed first and snore like a Effin freight train. Then she will wish for the comfy couch.

    What a night.
Kitchen fridge just kicked.  Wife and I moved everything to my beer fridge in the basement so nothing was lost.  Just not what we needed to happen right now.

I am interested in getting a smokeware just to eliminate a few steps when done cooking.  I haven't had any problems cooking below 250, I actually smoked some beef sticks at 100 dome temp for a few hours before bumping them up to 160. Our ambient temperature has been in the 30s or colder, I am sure this summer I won’t be able to hold low temps
