My wife and her two brothers got together and bought their mother a mini-Yorkie - something she'd always wanted. "Daisy Mae" was given to her on Christmas Eve, and unfortunately Val's mom entered the hospital - for what turned out to be the final time - three days later.

So now the little 3 1/2 lb interloper has invaded our household as her brothers weren't able to take her. Millie - our 5 lb Cavapoo seems unimpressed so far.

    Oh - almost forgot:

Cute pup, sorry to hear about your mother in law. How’s the leg healing up?

My sweet old girl died today.  I was blessed to be her 4th home in her first 8 months of life in 2008.  Unfortunately, due to the never ending divorce my ex-wife hasn’t allowed me to see her over the past year.  This one is especially heartbreaking.  I’ve never had one of dogs die alone.

I'm sorry, Ozzie.  Seeing pets cut off is another... don't even know the right words.

Sorry to hear that Ozzie_Isaac, your wife/soon ex sounds extremely petty and mean.

Thank you all, let’s just say most people don’t believe the **** she has done until they see the “receipts”.  Today was rough, but thankfully she let me be the one bury her.  I got say my goodbyes. Regardless of the situation, I saw it as a kindness and one I was thankful for.

Sorry for your loss Ozzie! I'm glad you were able to lay your friend to rest.

^^^ It's fascinating how differently different animals, and even different breeds of dogs, react to seeing their own reflection for the first time; saw some amusing videos on that over the years (both my corgis would immediately shy away from the mirror, they didn't like it even if they could see each other, and me, in the mirror).

the only trick the two year old britt learned from my old timer is how to lift the seat to get into the water bowl......i now leave a bucket of water in there, it also comes in handy when the power goes out
