Thanks for your reply! Cool that he has made many pieces for the two of you. A monetary estate passed on is nice, but cherished hand crafted pieces live on forever.JohnInCarolina said:
Thanks Ron. That clock was hand made by my father-in-law about twenty years ago, and it works. Woodworking was his hobby and we have a lot of pieces around the house that are from him.RRP said:
Ah, warm sunlight takes all the cares away (as if he even had any!) BTW John, I love that clock - is it an antique? If so does it work? Any long story to share about it?JohnInCarolina said:

Southern doodles in the snow -
Yep doodles have webbed feet and long legs so they can just “snowshoe it”. My niece said that her mini dachshund “was NOT having it”. I thought yeah he was dragging something important in the freezing snow. Meanwhile my doodle just curled up like a husky and took a nap in the snow.

I am a big hunting dog person, but my BFF passed and I took in her two older rat terriers. I got them last May and honestly can’t imagine life without them. In the past I have had cats, chickens, and other critters, but was trying to downsize.

Good on you @BeanHead Looks like harmony in the expanded pack. Your BFF certainly is looking in on all of you with a smile.LBGE, LBGE-PTR, 22" Weber, Coleman 413GGreat Plains, USA

Mr Cooper visited the feeders during the snow

Fort Wayne Indiana -
I had one of these pop the heads off at least four chicks one year. I’m still blaming a raccoon for a couple, but the trail cam footage was too blurry for a conviction.MasterC said:Mr Cooper visited the feeders during the snow

Isn’t that hunting over a baited field?
-
Yup. I ended up adding corner panels and it stopped the rampage.Gulfcoastguy said:Isn’t that hunting over a baited field? -
Note corner panel behind the ramp.

Very nice looking birds. They look super healthy and well cared for.BeanHead said:

those occasionally pick off a squirrel off my feeders without hitting the glass window, the red tails would probably crash and die into the glass.fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
My wife likes rodents for some reason. One day looking out the window we had a red squirrel standing up eating something, so I called to her "hey look at this". As soon as she looked a hawk flew down and grabbed the squirrel and flew away. I was subsequently called an #$%^$@. Like I somehow trained the hawk to grab the squirrel the second my wife came for a look.
