@zaphod - I'm sure a tough decision but thanks for your great contributions to the forum and a Zoom session. You are creative with your cooks and I'm sure at some point the unique flavour (nod) profile will be missed and requested again.
Continue to participate here as you have much to offer.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
@ColbyLang - lookin' good and with the adult supervisory beverages rolling I'm sure a true banquet awaits.

Based upon @lousubcap’s calculations, you are into triple tier grilling territory (three grids).ColbyLang said:

SV pork loin, which was then seared, with roasted potatoes, sliced and dressed tomatoes and Brussels sprouts, curry mayo and sweet onion rhubarb sauce.

@zaphod , that was pretty sad to read, but in a large way I kinda understand.
Did you sell your stuff, or just "park it out back" for now?“I'll have what she's having."

Simple lunch ….. white rice w/wok’d shoshito peppers & jalapeño and roasted chicken. Used the lime dressing from the other day.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Edit: unforgettable experience when moonlighting at a small bakery in Bournemouth eons ago... mincemeat was stored in a barrel in an outdoor shed, had to fight swarm of wasps to get to it
mince ; which is meat,
mincemeat ; which even says it's meat but isn't, and, then
mints : which is sweets only popular only amongst teenagers that had a cigarette at break time and assumed the blended aroma of smoke and a mouthful of sweets gave no rise to suspicion at all.
Other girls may try to take me away

Something we agree on, our notoriously light touch with GM additives and bleach probably causes that divergence.JohnInCarolina said:
I would not be the least bit surprised if your take on bangers and mash did not have anything that qualifies as what Americans would consider meat.CPFC1905 said:

Thanks. Now that I see the photos, I hadn’t even included taken one featuring the curry mayo! The curry and rhubarb/sweet onion sauce played real nice. Rhubarb was from our garden.caliking said:

Nope, just left the cover on it after the last cleaning and loading, so it's parked out on the deck. I started to look into selling it, but I'm not there yet.Botch said:@zaphod , that was pretty sad to read, but in a large way I kinda understand.

@dbCooper and @lousubcap - not going anywhere, i did drop off for a month but then my account went offline so thanks go to Hannah and @RRP for helping fix it. Not going to risk that again
But I do like being honest about things, so hence the "retired LBGE" in my sig. ~~
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. -
@zaphod - this is the only bbq forum I know of that embraces cooking for the love of the game… irrespective of method, gadgets/toys/cookers, etc.
If you enjoy cooking, for whatever reasons, you belong here. BGE, or not. The inmates here do occasionally get rowdy, but eventually settle down
What I’m trying to say is, hope you continue to contribute. Who cares what you cook on/with?#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
i bought a 4 pack of GZ. i drank 1, maybe 2. It's at the back of the fridge and I keep thinking to try another, but naaah.DoubleEgger said:

I drink a lot of stouts, and while GZ stands up well against many (not all), the big problem is that GZ does not stand up well against Guinness.~~

Corv said:I'd be interested in a good recipe for scallion pancakes....Thanks!These are the recipes I checked out:I tried making a sort of shortcrust (not included in the links), but don't think I'll try that next time. Also, used the flour from the Indian store - maida, ground finer than APF (which I also won't do next time). These pancakes were good, but could be better. I have a feeling there is at least one member here, with a tried, and true, recipe...

zaphod- hope the interest resumes. being alone at the grill with some tunes on a portable speaker and sometimes a beer is a great time.
meat free cooks are still worth sharing. i am trying to include veggies as much as i can so it’s “all on the egg” and i don’t get too many “what time is your stuff gonna be ready” questions (as if the cook and hold concept is yet to be invented). -
