You guys are making me want to leave work and watch the Masters.  Currently on hold with IRS sorting out some mistake ADP made last year.

DVR for the win!  Only way to watch "live TV".
Edit: All Masters TV broadcasts are recorded along with anything else I know I want to watch.
I save commercials for the Super Bowl and then recorded as well.
    But I have a lawn.

But isn't the commercials the most action packed part of watching golf? I could offer some wet paint if anyone wants to watch it dry, or a pot and some water. Just let me know.

    Anybody else?

I must be paying over $100 a month for streaming platforms/apps. When I finally figure out what I want to watch, I need to start a free trial for a different service that I don't currently pay for.
The  smart TVs used to show me what platforms I paid for and would escort me to the correct platform. Now the tvs play dumb and only show search results for the app I'm currently in. I've ended up paying for streaming apps my wife already signed up for on another TV! I would love to go back to cable but I know the commercials will drive me absolutely nuts based on my recent experiences staying in hotels.

    I know I sound old.

The Google tv streamer or whatever they call it now lets you sign into everything and has an option to search through all of the services. Smart tvs are very low on my recommendation list. It's about what they want to push you toward and who they work with. Especially for older people who ask me about such things.

    Welcome back to the sanctitude of the PL, where all is stable and trajectories are clear.  No wild strategic shifts or awkward analysis needed here to recast the narrative. Liverpool still winning it, one of three very weak teams doomed already and it’s all pretty much as you were.  Nice that way, sometimes.  So stop buying gold for a minute, and ponder if this is the home for your pension;

    Saturday

Man City v Palace - uncomfortable times at the mighty Eagles, much like Icarus - we get all woozy above 10th and there remains significant risk of that.  There was a time when we could all rely on City to blow away all-comers but this the post-truth 2025 where all is, well - a bit different, perhaps?  2-2 felt right by Haaland is poorly, so I’m going for 1-1.  But too many mixed emotions to put any certainty on that.

Brighton v Leicester - a single point in their last 10 games for the Foxes, and second bottom more than hints that next season in the Championship is nailed on.  The filthy fetid rotten bin-dipping Seagulls are in a funk, but the hidden hands have contrived this shoo-in 3 pointer to ease their bottom-lip’s. 3-0

Forest v Everton - flatline supremos, the Toffees, are loving life in the bottom third and drawing all their matches.  Must be epic fun.  Forest really do have third place at their mercy, so a home win is a must.  2-0

Southampton v Villa - Saints are sunk, which normally means an uptick in results. Villa re flying high in all quarters, except the mid-week Euro defeat - but all is not lost there with the second leg to come. 1-2 after an early home team goal and sustained period of fluid play that evaporates in the last five minutes.

Arsenal v Brentford - The Gunners can max out at 83pts with straight wins to the end of the season. But to be frank, I reckon Euro progress is more their wheel-house right now and chugging along to runner-up in the PL will be just dandy.  This wont be easy, so 1-1 and the only winner is Liverpool.

    Sunday

Chelsea v Ipswich - the Tractor boys could win this and still be double digit points from safety.  Ah, what’s the point?  My guess is that their talented players will see this as show-case time to work a better deal elsewhere next season.  The Chels’ have been odd all season but still lurk around the top four.  2-1

Liverpool v West Ham - The Reds need 11 points, but only if The Gunners win all matches - see above.  And Mo Salah has signed on for more Merseyside fun.  We could not be any more excited, no really I am thrilled for them - or would be if I could tear myself away from watching my lawn grow. 2-0

Wolves v Spurs - where can Wolves finish?  Not a sentence I ever conceived of, but they are on the surge and face Spursy Spursy Spurs Spurs could end 37-12, won’t be 0-0. So obviously I am going 3-2

Newcastle v Man Utd - oddly Utd are chuntering along at 1.5pts per game but still look rubbish.  Toon have found a rhythm and could make that all important 4th CL place theirs, and Eddie is safe for another year.  1-0

    Monday

Bournemouth v Fulham, oh there’s another game. Er, 1-1 - portably?

And finally, great news : just 1190 days until LA28 and the arrival of cricket at the Olympics.  OK it’s T20 - but what  time to be alive, right?

I've been away for a week, but I had to come back for this.

I HAVE to believe that Man U have enough in the tank to make things bad for Newcastle even though they don't have enough to really do anything good for themselves.

Who's running with ice water in their veins at Augusta on Sunday?  Should be great as noted above.

Yeah I’ll be pulling for Rory but of late he’s struggled to close the deal on the last day in majors.
