@Ozzie_Isaac - glad everyone is okay.  Always major lessons to be learned when your child has their first vehicle accident.
Regarding insurance-the company won't drop her (based on having gone thru one each of these events with my two sons) but be ready for the coverage price hike.

when i rolled the hummer over it went from 1100 to 5500 per year. pretty extreme. that was 5500 to cover a thirty year old dakota pickup i put back on the road. first thing to do is to drop the ins company. your not in good hands with allstate should have been their slogan.

Before the accidents our renewal was $14k …. We switched to a new company for $7k.  Literally renewed a few days after the accidents, so we have 6 months I think before rate hikes. (Insurers here usually only do 6 month terms)

when i renewed i went with progressive, lowest price i could find and was extremely easy to deal with when i was side slammed in the rover.

Sorry to hear @Ozzie_Isaac. That’s rough.
It was an interesting 3 days.  My child got in a wreck with her vehicle then mine.  Look on tow truck drivers face when I said just drop the jeep next to that truck was priceless.  He said man, when I’m having a bad day, I’m going to think about you 🤣
I remember when you posted a picture of her riding a horse thru a drivethru...are horses cheeper than vehicles?

Going to sign up for social insecurity and mediwhatever tomorrow in person. Some scammer found out and had tried to tell me that the meeting has been changed to a phone meeting, please have my checking info ready. I called the local office and verified that it was still scheduled for in person. I may have been born at night but it wasn’t last night.

Just got my third call trying to scam me before my Social Security meeting. I told them to march over to the police station and confess to attempted fraud,
the timing here really makes me hope that whatever the DOGE data folks have been up to didn’t somehow enable fraudsters to target ripe prospects, either intentionally or not.  there will be a much higher success rate with that scam as opposed to a cold call random one.

It turns out that 2 of the calls were from SS. They are in a state of chaos as to proceedings. Everything is signed up now except for Part D. Got to see a broker about that.

I prefer her on horses, extra set of eyes. To answer your question, horses are not cheaper than cars.  Purchase or maintenance 😜
And when you buy a new one, you can't "drive" it for two years but you still have to feed it.

I am laughing out loud at the "extra set of eyes" comment.

Also, there is not much drama in a garage full of cars.

There is tons of drama with a barn full of horses that are mainly taken care of by teenage girls.

Picked up my Jeep to get my aftermarket stuff off before CoParts takes it and checked on truck while I was there.Shop has “No Customers in Shop - EVER!” Signs all over.  I asked shop manager and he laughed and said “Go back, you have more real estate here than I do !”

Jeeps have an upper and lower frame up front.  Upper frame is hardened steel.  Both frames bent passenger side by 6”.

Jeep was spun completely around and knocked down the road about my 20 yards or so. Rear bumper has scratched from when it hit the other car as it spun around.

The long holiday weekend unfurls in front of us, with the third round of the cricket county championship and the fifth F1 outing.  In amongst the discarded chocolate wrappers is round 33 of the PL.  Oddly it’s the Cups, both domestic and European holding more attention than the league right now.  We could, though witness the final two relegations spots confirmed and further crystallisation of the top 7. Defeats last week for Man Utd and Spurs are starting make the top half look too much of stretch for them both.

Brentford v Brighton - 11th host 10th, neither team in great form and the filthy Seagulls faint hopes (sense of entitlement) of Euro qualification are evaporating. 1-1

Palace v Bournemouth -  shipping ten goals and two straight defeats have reassured all us Palace fans that we are in fact in normal times after all. The ‘all going too well’ scary vibe was well placed. Welcoming the Cherries will mean the season more or less ends if we lose, or the 50 point dream is alive if we win. 2-2

Everton v Man City - The Toffees win last time out banishes the theocratical relegation threat and will be just playing out time now.  Citeh has found their playing boots and will snaffle all three point to hunt down 4th, or better.  0-2

West Ham v Southampton - more in this than you might assume.  The Hammers are catchable by Ipswich, who currently look nailed on for the final relegation spot while the Saints need some sort of result to avoid the ignominy of the fewest ever points in a season. Despite six more games, even one point feels a stretch for them.  Horrible viewing; 1-0.

Villa v Newcastle - Toon are flying and will see this as chance to embed themselves deeply in the CL qualification spots.  Villa finally out of Europe after a valiant effort, could capitulate or surge back. Several goals assured. 2-3

    Sunday

Fulham v Chelsea - very local rivals, but the Cottagers are so nice they don’t really do the term rival justice. Odd season for them, under and over performing simultaneously - a rare feat and to be applauded.  The Chels are not dissimilar and remain in Euro contention. Could be the most tepid encounter ever. 1-1

Ipswich v Arsenal - mid-week success against Real Madrid has given the Gunners a confidence boost while the Tractor boys very faint hopes of survival dwindle. Not much Entertainment to be found here as a business like away win is secured with least effort possible. 0-1

Man Utd v Wolves - Utd will haul in their fewest PL points ever and Wolves have struck a rich vein of form, so that potential total looks even smaller. 1-2

Leicester v Liverpool - a very rare point fell towards the Foxes last week but it’s too little too late.  The Reds won’t be feeling charitable as they want the title wrapped up asap. 0-3

    Monday

Spurs v Forest - back to back debates for Forest but they face apex Spursy Spury, so they could end the day plummeting out of the top 4 or starting to book flights to exotic parts of Europe. As ever - all result on the table, but my head says 0-1.

I hope you enjoy whatever Spring related festival your choice of organised religion presents, this weekend.  I’ll be elbow deep in chocolate, and cricket.

Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay

As usual, you made my Friday morning. After my atrocious effort last week I've given up on quibbling with one or two of your predictions.  I will ask a question.  Based on their last 10 performances or so, have Man U become more spursy than Spurs?
