We found a lost dog this morning heading to town. So we took advantage of having her and wore out our Golden. Lol. Pup has now been reunited with her people.

Golden looks dead tired.  The lost dog...not so much.   The lost dog is poised and ready for more action!

@kl8ton the GSP pup has running full sprint down the road when we crossed her. Thankfully she stopped. Turns out, she lives about a mile down the road. Her owner didn’t know she was out when he left. We suspect she followed him out to the road and was trying to keep up with him.

After all that, it was still hardcore parkour for a couple hours. 😂 the Golden is now laying in our bed.

GSP’s and their close cousins have motors that don’t quit. Good move on you keeping her occupied. Beautiful pup

Celebrate, just don’t drive. It would be awkward at work. Congratulations on another year done.

LOL. A great thing about having adult children in the house is having built in DD’s on the few occasions they are needed.

We had a bit of an (against my better judgment) aggressive/anxious rescue years ago named skeeter, probably 60#. My neighbors K-9 unit broke out of his pen and came over, skeeter rushed him and the K-9 rolled him, stood on his chest and just looked at us. I will never forget that, they didn’t fight the police dog just pinned him and said “Bookem Danno”

Moving a quick few things around in the garage to pull in a couple vehicles for tomorrow. It looks like it's going to get dicey.

I'm hoping it ends up being sprinkles for the two new trees I planted yesterday. I'll be staking them down and tying them off just in case it's not.

@WeberWho- I don't wish that prediction on anyone (well, almost anyone).  I popped the cherry "head to the tornado shelter" a year ago.  Fortunately missed.
Closet I have experienced with the true destruction path is about 3/4 mile away some 7 years ago.  The line of demarcation is so obvious.

Tornadoes - One years ago in Oklahoma, where I was then living, came while we where hosting a fairly noisy party. It became obvious that something louder was going on, mostly very heavy rain. The next day, we found that the roof had gotten "ruffled," to use my then-wife's term. The roof later got repaired, poorly, and I declined to buy the place from the landlord. Instead, I bought a larger place a couple miles away.

@Ozzie_Isaac - very cool.  Years ago we took our oldest to White Sands (not too far from the VLA) at night during a full moon.  That is an experience I can definitely recommend if you ever get the chance.

We had no moon, and they had a bunch of amateur astronomers (along with VLA staff there) it was amazing.  Definitely worth the trek.  The night time experience was the best, the daytime Open House was very cool too, but from sheer spectacle the night time was where it was at.

oof, my ex had them once.  She said it was the worst pain ever, worse than childbirth. Sorry you had to deal with that.

  • yeah, I have been dealing with abdominal pain for over 9 months, before actually having to go to a Urologist in Lubbock.  Dr. told me it was either cancer or kidney stones.  I have never been so happy to hear the word kidney stones.  After CT scans and x-rays, I apparently had one in one kidney that was the size of a golf ball and 4 in the other kidney that were the size of green olives.  I like to golf and drink martini's, but that was a little extreme.  First procedure was done on April 1st to get as much as he could, and the last one was this past Friday, where he got the rest out and removed the stints.  Fun times around here.

@Ozzie_Isaac , I've shot a lot of film at the VLA when I was stationed at Kirtland, but never at night.  Also the Bosque del Apache wildlife refuge is down that way, photographed wild turkeys, herons, sandhill cranes, snow geese, coyotes and my first bald eagle.  Thanks for the memory jog!

When a new post hits the forum, it's not bold on the main screenWhen a reply is made to a post I've already viewed, it IS bold. Does anyone else experience this? Is there any way to make new posts show up in bold font?  When new posts show up and they are not in bold font, my brain assumes I've already viewed them.

No such problem here, all new posts appear bold for me.
Wait a minute, even new posts by @cmac610 don't appear bold for you? 😂
