Reading information regarding the 32% tariff I’m now receiving from Malaysia in regards to purchasing palm oil. Yay, my customers will be so pleased
Trumpillion$ concept of a plan: Cultivate palm plantations in good ol' USA, problem solved.

Edit: maybe it's not as far-fetched as it sounds, given the pervalent use of palm oil  =)

Russell Brand charged with rape and sexual assaults relating to multiple women. Who could have seen that coming? 🙄 Whether or not the allegations are true (I suspect they are; innocent until proven guilty), I always found him exceptionally cringey.
Absolutley inevitable.  Who knows why he is like he is - but a toxic harmful individual that needs to be brought to justice.
The trial will be an absolute circus that he will spin for his own benefit.  He's already denied it all, so the chances of him entering a guilty plea and drawing it to a respectful conclusion swiftly are nil.

    Got called twice and it just exposed to me;
    a) how inefficient and shambolic the justice process is, at pre and in-trial stages
    b) how quickly people make up their minds

Over here you get a start date and told to be available for two working weeks, but if the case runs on you stick with it.   My wife has never been called, nor my kids, aged either side of 30 which is odd.

Both times I went I had to declare an interest and got stood down, and then got on two other trials.

The last time I went, I was in city court. This is a different courthouse and is our County Court.  Jurors call in the night prior to find out if we are needed.  Most of the "deals/settlements" get made on the court day when the defendant knows the jury is ready.  I have a seasonal employee who was summoned to Federal court and needed to be available for 3 straight months I believe.  I haven't heard how that went yet.

Been called in a dozen or so times. Never picked though. Just because I think cops lie should not be the reason I don't get picked. Maybe it was I told a judge she should know better. I'm supposed to be scheduled again around November to sit in a room for six hours and about a four hour round trip ride. They never send me to the court down the street

Wait, are you actually complaining about not being picked?  In my world, that’s what we call a win.

Called in a few times, served once on a case involving the death of a law enforcement officer. That ended in life imprisonment.

Nice. Pretty sure I saw that model at Costco in Ottawa this morning. How do you like it?

I like it, It's the 22", which I find plenty big enough for most things. I can easily do 6 burger patties at a time. The griddle is already warped a bit, but doesn't seem to cause any issues. Pretty basic and simple, should last a long time. The one thing I don't like is the clean up after, but that will be the same on any of these.

A win is when a judge gets up and leaves the room all angry. They keep sending to Salem mass, it's to far, how many times am I supposed to get called

Hola folks, 588 new messages!  Figured I’d pop in and see what’s up - I’ve always wanted to serve on a jury, but never been picked sadly.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Thanks for surfacing. Glad it was temporary.  You've got some catching up to do but should you choose to ignore all, no great revelations have been offered although the "Exotic car thread" has a few gems.
Things have been a bit lively over on the OT Forum as you could imagine.

Haha! Thanks, all. Things are definitely shifting and it’s going to be a bit of a battle so participation here will be spotty, but I truly believe it’ll lead to something really positive. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.
