I let the generator run all night, AEP is saying 12pm for restoration. Thanks for checking, everything online but the hot water heater. When I flip that breaker my generator sounds like it’s at the end of a tractor pull.

 In a hail mary attempt to get a shower in, I shut off the garage breaker (fridge, and a freezer) and shut off the kitchen refer breaker, threw the hot water heater breaker on and now the generator sounds like a pressure washer when you release the handle on the wand... I think it is okay..

simple lobster roll in a butter fried hot dog roll is 36.99 here, one in a nice restaurant can go 50 bucks. i will just steam and make my own.

I know. -13C this morning (with wind chill, if you believe in it) and then 16C tomorrow. Dressing the kids, and even ourselves, for the weather is an impossible challenge this time of year.

Took my share of road trips to the States as a kid. One memory that really stands out was discovering these, then seeking them out on subsequent trips. Didn’t have them at home, so as a young boy with no access to pyrotechnics while growing up, these were pretty fun.

my woodworking teacher back in eight grade found the bag of sawdust that these were packed in in the cafeteria. took it straight to the front office thinking it was a bag of weed..........not to knock on teachers; maybe, just a little

My childhood pranks:
1) Placed 3"-4" nails on streetcar track and retrieved mini blades after they got ran over.
2) Sandwiched cap gun rounds between two large washers secured by a nut and bolt, tied to the end of a string. Waited till dark and dropped it on the sidewalk from a second story window.

Reminds me of the time when I was in 8th grade during lunch I smashed up all my white Smarties candy and dumped them into a clear plastic sandwich bag I had. I slid all the Smartie dust to a corner of the plastic bag and twisted it tight. I took the bag and handed it to a girl at lunch and asked her to hold it for me as I had to go down to the principals office. 

The girl ended up crying (not my intent) and a school lunch volunteer ended up asking her what was wrong. Next thing I know I'm really being walked down to the principals office with my white bag of powder!  They found out pretty quick that it was a little prank that I was playing on a classmate. The principal wasn't all that thrilled but let me off the hook with a verbal warning. That was enough for me to listen and lay off pranks for a little while!
