They aren’t Chinese. Land is immediately adjacent to a lignite mine property (2000 acres of which WAS ours until the Haynesville Shale era). Property now owned by a power company. We in full clearing mode
Zero stumps in sight. Root rakes and dozers smoothing it all over. Giant packing roller making it pretty

If the mining company is installing for themselves, they don’t tend to mess around!  Shame you have lost most of your deer lease over the years.

High education rates, good healthcare, reasonable cost of living, great climate, etc. Probably our favourite tropical vacation to date.

Wow!  That looks amazing and relaxing.

Great band and located 40 or 50 miles east of me. I have watched parts of a few hockey games recently but I don’t really understand the rules yet. Violent apocalyptic soccer maybe?

Hockey can be a quirky game. I did not care about it at all until we got a team, now it has become my favorite thing to watch. Especially live.

Agree with @Battleborn about hockey.  To me it is quite local fan base driven.  The speed of the game makes it a bit of a challenge to watch on TV even with today's High Def.

the old boston garden had a small rink with large corners. much faster game, getting checked hard into the boards was easier, fights erupted continuously. then they changed it to a bigger rink size as a standard, the small corners slow the game down, the passing now is more of a gentlemans game, hardly any blood on the ice now. still, go to a game, sit near the goal line where the enemies goalie sits, its really more exciting than a game on the tv. you really need to see the play come rushing towards you

im blaming canada for ruining the sport =)

Just had a Lyft ride with one of the highest people I’ve ever met.  Missed every turn, couldn’t remember which left/right and the map on his screen confused him.  Once I finally got walking distance, I was like “right here man, this is perfect” then I enjoyed a nice walk home🤣. Thought for sure was gonna get in a car wreck.

I don't see why it would not work, it would probably be cheaper to take them to a mill though. I had some cedar trees milled and it will take me a lifetime to use it all.  I like the business plan I have to say, buy a mill and bug a tree guy into offering job site milling!  I never thought of that

theres some guys with portable setups and theres a full mill about 6 miles down the road. i know the big mill doesnt like trees that are near the house because of the potential of nails. the two near the house are giants, maybe 40 inch diameter pushing maybe 150 feet tall. the other two are smaller. not sure the capabilities are for a portable setup but going to look into it, theres a few guys in town with them. wood prices are insane right now

Sorry for the blurry pic. I helped my cousin haul logs from a pine that he used to build his cabin.  HIS friend has a Wood Mizer portable mill.  We did not have proper equipment.  That trailer doesn't owe anybody anything!  I think we somehow positioned two more on top of the three shown.  Similar to this:

talked with the neighbor who is taking about 20 trees down, they might want some sawed up as well so maybe a big load goes off to the mill
