    Wow .... wow, wow.
Between the trillions lost on stock market ... 100's billions in USA projects that are now on hold or cancelled due to lack of business confidence ... HOW is this worth it?? WOW.

Lot of pension funds in the markets too.  This kind of thing impacts a very broad swath of the population.

I'm not worried for myself, I'll be fine, my family will be fine.  But it doesn't take a genius to recognize the sh!tty situation we're in and that it's entirely self-inflicted.

Silver lining: Since someone wants the house and I want the 401k, the timing isn’t so bad.  Not great for all the cashing out in other places, but hey, can’t win them all.

Either selling or being bought out.  Not sure which yet.  Originally I planned to keep it, but looking at options probably not my best long term move.

It kind of sounds like you’re saying people “in the know” look to buy low and sell high, which: incredible, if true.

I put my half of Mom's estate into a 5.5% CD, waiting for the market to crash during trump 1.  It didn't happen then, and I had no idea there'd be a trump 2, but here we are.
The question now is, when do I jump?   :s

Trying to decipher land maps. My deer lease (2300 acres) is being acquired for a solar farm. We have until 6/30/25 to vacate the property of all stands and belongings. Club has been on this property since 1992. They’re being generous and leaving us 220 acres lol. We have to prioritize what we remove and when based on their projected “logging schedule”. Otherwise they just destroy it

If they are Chinese solar panels and funded by the IRA I wouldn’t worry too much. Loggers though…

They aren’t Chinese. Land is immediately adjacent to a lignite mine property (2000 acres of which WAS ours until the Haynesville Shale era). Property now owned by a power company. We in full clearing mode
Zero stumps in sight. Root rakes and dozers smoothing it all over. Giant packing roller making it pretty

???  So just leave that money in the CD?
The "what you do with it" has too many factors for consideration .   But to really simplify things- if you are worried about the near-term liquidity (CD duration defines that) then leave it.
If you want a no brainer way to grow it-and you have access, just wait til the slope of this Cluster Phque initiated by CHEETO starts to level out and then put into a 500 index fund and let it go.
I have not slept in a Holiday Inn Express in many years so take with a grain of...
Longterm, the market is the way to get major growth but personal situations are the factors in how you play it.  FWIW-
I rode the market in the 1987 Black Monday 22% one day drop (not CHEETO inflicted).  It two around  2.5 years to recover so the horizon is always a big player.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

The IRA are funding the Chinese now????  Holy heck, they used to be supported by Gadaffi - back in the day.  How times change.  Those Boston & NYC fund raisers sure worked, then?
